The Runic Internal Energy system

yggdrasil the world tree yggdrasil the world tree

Much is written about the Yggdrasil, the world tree that supports the nine worlds on 3 levels of being. The concept of a central pole, pillar, tree that holds the cosmos together, dividing and connecting the heavens and the earth is found all over the world, in many cultures (totem poles, Chinese tree of life, the kabbalah, Yggdrasil, the Saxon Irminsul etc). All of these can correlate to the human spine( the microcosm of the universes macrocosm). Starting at the head (where Feorh is generated) and working down the spin to the lumbar area there are 24 vertebrae, equating to the runes Feoh to Doeg. The sacrum is composed of 5 bones fused together equating to the runes Ac to Ear, the coccyx 3 bones equating to the runes Calc to Stan. This gives us 32 runes. As the Sacrum and coccyx are fused together as a single entity they create the final (33rd) rune; Gar. This gives us not 3 aetts but 4, the fourth aetts expanding on the meanings of the others. By meditation on the rune corresponding to each vertebrate we can engage on internal energy work, moving up or down the spine to explore the runes and the worlds. Always start at Midgar? (9th thoracic vertebra) and work up to Asgar? (the skull) or down to Niflheim (between the 3rd and 4th sacral vertebra. About the level with the pubic bone at the front of the body). ALWAYS leave at Midgar? too!! Working down the body draws in sky energies whilst

Christian exploits local superstitious beliefs

Even as a small child I had a big interest in magicks and witchcraft, from TV programs like bewitched, Tabitha, I dream of Genie, etc to Hammer Horror films about witches even today I still like films like The Craft, Witches etc. But I always see them as good entertainment rather than a practical skill for the craft but the interest in magicks and power has always remained, so the soon as I hear the words, witch, pagan or magicks on the TV or Radio I turn my attention to it not just for entertainment but also for educational purposes. Now over the last few years (decades) we have allsorts of programs on witches and witchcraft. Although many are crap sometimes a little gem will pop up. Now I have been trying to avoid the subject of African witchcraft not though a squeamish feeling and the fact much of the rubbish spouted is from Christians is that is not one of my areas of expertise and I was not sure how to deal with it. Now the other day I hear the words witchcraft and prostitution in the same sentence from the TV so I turned my head and it was a program of the sex trade from Nigeria. I sat down and watched now the one thing I saw was belief that these people had in traditional magicks now rightly or wrongly their beliefs trapped them in a contact that would last for seven years plus. Now I could not decide whether the priest

To make Bad Luck go away

witch-spells witch-spells

Items: Cauldron – A piece of paper Time: At night Ritual: light a small fire in a cauldron or what ever you have available to contain the fire. Write on a piece of paper that is 3 inches x 3 inches, the words BAD LUCK. Then write down any bad things you do not like in your life right now. Then draw a big X across the paper with a black marker. While doing this you should be thinking of how all these things are going to disappear from your life, never to return! Place the paper in the fire and repeat the following words 3 times: “Fire, fire burning bright turn my darkness into light! Take away my bad luck ill; bring me nothing but goodwill. Bad luck came and stayed to long, be gone forever, be gone, be gone! With this fire burning bright, bring me good luck, bring me light!” “SO MOTE IT BE!” After repeating these words 3 times, sit for a few minutes and concentrate on the bad luck being gone and the good luck coming your way! When you are done extinguish the fire.

The Elements – Air

We have four base elements earth air fire and water in magicks it is desired to bring the elements into balance but each element has it own individual magicks attached so it always advisable to become familiar with elemental magicks. Elemental magicks are untameable and do not require any skills or knowledge to perform, but knowledge is required to prevent accidents. With Air we have lots of direct connect ,we cant survive long with out it fills our lungs and our thoughts it carries our words. What many forget that our words whether spoken as a spell, sung as a chant, used to express love, use to hurt are all carried on air an elemental force that brings change. These Changes can happen with the force of a hurricane or slowly like the wind carving the mountain. One of the key parts of any magicks is the rising of energies the element of air is an energy that is constantly being charge by you your breath becomes the rhythm your movements stir this energy your words energise and direct the air giving purpose and direction. Once you understand this principle of living a magickal life you will understand how difficult it can be to prevent your magicks causing harm directly or indirectly by your actions or words. But learning how to understand the elements and how they affect your life outside of ritual will vastly improve your skills inside rituals. We (i) think it is best to start with air as it the one that

Beginners Guide To Create a Ritual

OFFERING OFFERING

Although there are many very good rituals available on line and in books, it is the aim for many solitary witches to create their own rituals. So how do you start? There are two main types of ritual celebratory and magickal. Magickal rituals are rituals where the focus is magickal healing, spell working etc. While Celebratory rituals include the Sabbats and Esbats where the primary object is to celebrate the Gods life and relationships, their rituals that contain both celebratory and magickal elements but for the purpose we will just look at the two main types of ritual as once you have created a few rituals of your own you will soon find ways of combining celebratory and magickal rituals. Celebratory rituals Each pagan path will have special days not everyone follows the Wiccan wheel of the year. Start by finding out the reasons, symbols, mythologies and meanings of your feast days, there is plenty of information available online or from books, if it a lunar ritual find out the corresponding aspects are. Magickal rituals Each pagan path will have its own deity relating to a desired out, this may be in the form of a god/dess of a particular desire such a deity of healing or love. In monotheistic and duotheistic paths their will be a mythology in which the deity will have grated the desire showing that the deity has supreme power of that aspect of human life. So research what tools are appropriate to carry favour with the deity, will you be

Sacred Music

Pentagram2 Pentagram2

Music is very important in my rituals as they are a great aid in rising energy when I first started out I would use music that I thought would suit the spiritual nature of my beliefs. I spent all my time looking for soft ethereal music, Gregorian chants or music that I thought would help me create a sacred space. Although this soft music help create the right environment it really was not conducive to rising large amounts of energy. I started to think about how when you in a group that the energy raised is easier due to the excitement that is shared. So I started to look at how I interacted with music and it came to me one day while hovering I had the radio on and a song came on which got me dancing I really got carried away with the music. When I did my next ritual I started preparing my space with the soft music but when it came time for raising the energy I used [wikipedia] Evelyn Thomas [/wikipedia] – High Energy although it was not one of my best rituals it did help my rituals improve over the years I have found music that suits a ritual, I have used willow’s song from the film [wikipedia] The Wicker Man [/wikipedia] in rituals to increase passion, In green darkness by [wikipedia] Unshine [/wikipedia] for [wikipedia] Samhain [/wikipedia] rites and even [wikipedia] Abba [/wikipedia]’s Money,Money,Money for drawing good fortune. Any music can be used in rituals especial if it

Brujeria

Brujeria. For many, it is nothing more than the Spanish word for witchcraft. But for a growing number of North Americans, Brujeria is something much more complex–it is a religion, not unlike Wicca. I would like to volunteer to contribute some articles to the archive on this Pagan path. Myself, I am what is known as the Roja, or Red Priestess, of a temple here in Philadelphia. One does not need to be of Hispanic/Latin descent to celebrate Brujeria–I am not. As a sample, allow me to offer you what is known as the Rule of the Brujo. Much of Brujeria is done in Spanish or in the native language of Nahuatl, but much is being brought into English. “The one who made the Rule known is not known, but from this person the Rule spread unto the Olmecs, unto the Toltecs, unto the Aztecs, and ultimately the Rule has come down to us. That there is one piece of the rule for every full moon in the solar year is a certainty. The universe is a living thing (which is an idea brought into modern Brujeria from Aztec cosmology), and Brujeria is a method of interacting with the living energy of the universe. A brujo/bruja practices what could be termed magic by attuning himself/herself to this living energy. This living energy can seize a brujo/bruja at any time, or through the concentrated work of an impromptu and inspired ritual. An individual enters Brujeria through a personal encounter with the living energy. Once a brujo,
