Where Magick come to life

A Random thought to a spell

binding love spell 150x150 A Random thought to a spellMagicks cannot be taught as such! Magicks are not a subject! Or a specialty of any practice! It is a way of life, you live magick, and you breathe magick! You don’t need to call on magicks like you would call an old friend over at a party. But for those that know or feel that ritual is important, as this contains your use of it. As magicks uncontrolled can cause problems!

An example of uncontrolled magicks is in the young a dream becomes a wish, a wish becomes a spell and results happen. For very young children their dreams are small normally very small, from I want food to can i have a Barbie, so have very limited negative results, but as they grow as we all do our dreams become filled with doubt reinforcing our expectations, so very few of their dreams become wishes, so less become spells.

Some of our young are very talented in magicks and learn to use their skills, which again drop off when there are in their late teens early 20’s when life’s demands become a priority. Very few of these teens go straight to a magickal life unless they are exposed to magicks through the family or friends at a young age, they will often bounce around looking for answers to questions they do not know.

But when magicks become a part of your daily life your limits are endless magicks can open you up to endless possibilities.

For example when I thought about writing this (I was and still am having a bad day due to my illness) I was lighting a fire and my eye flicked to the black candle on the mantle and within a micro second a chant began in my head – “In this fire I do see the burning of my negativity”. Within a second I thought about carving my problems on the candle. I must make a note here I have been working on some healing spells for my condition if only to make myself better and before any one mentions personal gain they have been avoided as much as they can be.

Then as I thought well you can’t just scrape some words in to a half burn black candle that was only use to make the sconce look good and on a just lit coal fire, but also, as I thought this just Doesn’t feel right the magicks are not complete some things missing or maybe all that needed is to be open to the possibility that was all, that was required to achieve my goal!

Within a second I got the urge to write it down as I knew it needed more work, so i opened word, and began to jot my notes down, and went off to think! BTW the ritual begins the first moment you start thinking about it!!!!

Then my muse started whispering to me “share the basics” to which I thought was the basics of the chant and let others grab what they liked from our facebook page! so I started with a title “A Random thought to a spell” and i started to write… Not what I expected so in hindsight would like to have change the title but muse says NO!

Here are my original note:-

Black candle

Fire

Right what you see as negative

Throw in to fire and chant

In this fire I do see the burning of my negativity

The Words mean more

Pentagram of Solomon 150x150 The Words mean moreOne of my favourite Chants is a chant that I heard off a film many years ago called the Charm of Making, now for whatever reason has remained part of my book of shadows as a chant to raise energies till this day.

Part of the reason for the charm of making remains is because it feels authentic. The Charm of making appears in the film Excalibur and is composed in Old Irish by Michael Everson a linguist of high standing.

Although the charm has been rumoured to be an ancient Celtic Charm, or Gaelic Charm or even an ancient Welsh Druid spell none of these rumours have any historical or academic evident that cant be disrepute with ease.

If we just accept that The Charm of Making is a well crafted set of words written in Old Irish to portray magickal intent on screen does not remove the power that these words have:-

The Words – The Charm of Making

Old Irish Translation to English
Anáil nathrach, orth bhais betha,do cheol déanta.

Pronounced anal nathrak, uthvas bethud, do che-ol di-enve

Serpent’s breath, charm of death and life, thy omen of makingMary Jones’s translates as
Breath of the serpent, spell of life, the song for the maker.Or

Breath of serpent, spell of death and life, your song of making.

To here Charm of making as spoken in film see video above

Just by saying the words a few times over you can already feel the energies build (or well at least I can) as you do with any chant or Charm.

Their many be many Neo pagans who might fill that grabbing a few words off of a movie and putting in a book of shadows and using them in ritual would be wrong as they have no place being their as the made up and rubbish. But many more agree with me words only have power as long as you give them power and the more power you give them the stronger they get.

Taking words from a film script or play scripts are nothing new, Eko! Eko! Azarak! Eko! Eko! Zomelak! Come from the text from the play Le Miracle de Théophile according to Pennethorne Hughes who is a professional historian and student of witchcraft. But it does seem that we are much happier to copy spells, charms and chants down from written source the older and dustier the better than to dictate something from a visual media such as a play or film. Probably because when you watch a film you never seem to have a pen handy.

I do personally feel that not all films spells and chants can be used effectively “ you could never find a use for “Salicadoola, Menchicaboola, Bippity Boppity Boo!”” but film spells Mystical charms and chants they can be a good source of inspiration to help you develop your own spell incantations and charms and chants. They can help with timing and with just a few changes to the original text you can have a truly unique spell or chant, which is personal and has a very familiar feel and should be very effective.

Remember in life and not just in magicks “It’s not what you say! That counts; it’s how you say it! That matters!”

mountain ash tree or rowan tree sorbus aucuparia Rowan Berry Protection CharmThe rowan tree or mountain ash has always been a popular tree for witches and druids and the Celts.

Know for the it healing properties, Rowan berries are a laxative, and can also be used for sore throats, inflamed tonsils, hoarseness, even diarrhoea. These words of magick gently sing.

Rowan berry grant to me,
Protection of the Rowan tree,
As you hang above my door,
Keep all from harm for evermore

Encoding Magicks and Ritual Tampering

elementals 150x150 Encoding Magicks and Ritual TamperingWe all know that many magicians and sorcerers where know for leaving things out or making deliberate mistakes or change position it the elements (earth, air, fire and water). The most noted case of ritual tampering occurs in the Sun square of the planet square use in talisman making. It is also know or accepted that many published rituals where incomplete or had important aspects altered to insure that only the initiated could know the truth. But ritual Buy Generic Drugs Without Prescription tampering goes much deeper that much of our history became mixed and hidden within Christianity.

Our rituals like Yule (Christmas) Samhain (all hallow) Ostara (easter) etc where adopted by Christianity and blended to smooth the transition. Others we hid ourselves in the form of folk traditions and rhymes, which are still in use today although their true meanings may be lost.

Rhymes where used to encode magickal information, spells and forms of divination and where passed on from mother to children and where used to program the information in a way which would be easy to retain and look harmless to the outside world.

A few common rhymes, which are still used, for divination or to find the answer include-

Taking a flower while pulling out petals a person would rhyme
He / she loves me
He / she loves me not
one line for each petal alternating until you are left with one petal love or love not. There are variations on this
He loves me,
He don’t,
He’ll have me,
He won’t,
He would if he could,
But he can’t
So he don’t.”
This is to be said while plucking the petals off a daisy or while taking out the seeds from an apple.

Another Popular of hiding our tradition was nursery rhymes although the originals names where Christianise so only speculation can be given to their original name The character Jack is associated with the tarot card the Fool , the wise fool off on his journey.

One popular rhyme “Jack Be Nimble,” was originally a rhyme said while jumping over a candlestick to determine one’s luck or chance of marriage or even fertility for the coming year. If the candle stayed lit it meant the response would be positive. Although a less pleasant version was, children would stand in a circle and pass a candlestick around. Whoever was holding the candlestick when the flame went out would die within the year.

Counting rhymes where and still used for selection in olden times they would have been used to select sacrifice of to select champions in individual contests, to determine the partition of conquered or colonised lands, in the division of spoil, in the appointment of magistrates and other functionaries, in the assignment of priestly offices, and in criminal investigations where doubt existed as to the real culprit according to Henry Carrington Bolton in his book “The Counting-Out Rhymes of Children, dated 1888.

Other uses for the nursery rhymes was to teach spells and magick the rhyme Goosey, goosey gander
Goosey Goosey Gander where shall I wander
Upstairs and downstairs and in my Lady’s chamber
There I met an old man who wouldn’t say his prayers
So I took him by his left leg and threw him down the stairs.
Is said to be a spell where you create a elemental being of energy which you would use to be a watcher a spy although in the rhyme the shape of the elemental is a goose it is much more likely that smaller less complex creatures would be use such as a flea or fly.

There are probably many more undiscovered meaning to old rhymes and chants many will be lost forever some will have hidden meanings, which will just make sense when you take a closer look, there is a wealth of untapped magickal knowledge out their if we just can find it.

I thought for a bit of fun I would try some magick encoding myself so I came up with this rhyme which contains all the information on a healing ritual and meditation why not see if you can unravel it and create a ritual from the information inside

Healing forces near and far come together and form a 5 pointed star.

Now call the element one by one and by first light of sun the four become one.

Embody the one I wish to heal; my healing touch they soon will feel.

I call the divine to strengthen this gift.

Now with words of magick my spell I fix.

Now close my eyes and the world out side.

Inside two realms I now stride.

The one that is distant will now take its place.

I can now direct magick to the human face.

Hold the vision; make it real

Add some essence and make it feel

Take a hand and wave away any pain that was doomed to stay.

Add some strength and make them strong

Now the time to add some song.

Galdor Stancing

runes 150x150 Galdor StancingGaldor is an Old English word meaning to ‘enchant with voice / song’ (Galdorcræft Is the art of doing so)

Galdor can also be used in a variety of other ways, in meditation, pathworking, the naming of objects etc, and in stance work. Most pagan paths use sound in rituals and workings, in the Enochian tradition they use a system called Vowel song a system found across the world from the Middle East to Scandinavia – albeit under different names. Here is a basic form:

I : the head SPIRIT. High pitch sound, which varies based on the indervidual.

E ; Neck and throat. AIR phonetically sounds like the e in very or head

A ; Solar Plexus, the bodies central warming, heart, liver and spleen. FIRE phonetically sounds like the a in half or far.

O ; Lower abdomen, intestines, kidneys, bladder. WATER phonetically sounds like the o in not.

U ; base of the spine, genitals, perineum, anus ,legs EARTH sounds like hoow or do

Each vowel is sung or chanted in order although they can be sung as one single linked vowel “iiieeeaaaooouuu” to draw energy down from the sky or as “uuuoooaaaeeeiii” to draw energy from the earth.

Galdor Stancing incorporates vibration / sound with physical stances. A beginner will start with the following system.

Stand quietly facing north, breath deeply and focus.

An invocation is then made to Wodin or the Norns.

Runes used are Is, Ur, Eohl, Tiw,, Lagu, and Ger

Is –

runes r31 c2 Galdor StancingFeet together, centered in yourself and to the ground, Extend arms straight up with palms facing take a full deep breath and sign out the name of the rune Is the ‘I’ is high pitched and the ‘s’ is a hiss fading to silence. Relax don’t force it repeat 3 times.

Ur –

runes r10 c12 Galdor StancingLower arms and bend at waist don’t stretch just relax visualize reaching gently down in to the depths. The U is deep and sonorous while the R is rolled or guttural repeat 3 times.

Eohl –

runes r21 c12 Galdor StancingStand up lifting arms up and out palms up the ‘e’ and ‘o’ are a described earlier the ‘l’ is rolled and the ‘h’ becomes a breathy exhalation repeat 3 times (this stance connects with Sky / Air energies)

Tiw –

runes r7 c11 Galdor StancingLet the arms fall down, palms down. The ‘t’ is hard and the ‘i’ and ‘w’ are pronounced as ‘ooo’ (Tee-ooo). The sound descends tonally repeat 3 times ( this stance connect with earth energies)

Lagu –

runes r9 c7 Galdor StancingTurn east raise both hands in front of you palms down. The ‘l’ is rolled, the ‘g’ is hard and ‘a’ and ‘e’ as previously described. Repeat 3 times this stance connects with ocean tides, rivers lakes and springs etc)

Ger –

runes r2 c7 Galdor StancingPlace hands on hips, elbows out to sides, the g is soft ‘e’ as described earlier and the r is rolled. Repeat 3 times.

If unsure of your positioning look at the shape of the rune you should look like a human rune symbol.

Once completed stand relax breath slowly and deeply and ground yourself.

It will normally take around 6 month practice with the basic system before going on to try other runes. In that period you should increase you repartitions from 3 to 9 slowly. You should also experiment indoors and out, sing loudly and signing softly or even internalizing the sound creating them in you head.

It will take many years of Galdor work before you can sing all 33 runes. And their are a number of runes that require more than one person to stance.

With runes that require more than one person to complete you will need to do this with another person who knows Galdor Stancing you cant get some just to stand in the position there are no short cuts

And with any practice ground Buy Acomplia Online yourself!!!

The Witches Ladder

witches lader 225x300 The Witches Ladder The Witches’ Ladder (also known as rope and feathers, witches’ ladder, witches ladder, or witch ladder) uses basic knot magic with elemental correspondences to create a powerful talisman that you can hang in your home or wear for protection or give as a gift to your friends.

The modern witch’s ladder is a string of 40 beads or a cord with 40 knots. Sometimes feathers, bones, and other trinkets are braided into the string as symbols for a desired spell effect. An earlier version of a witch’s ladder consisted of a rope or cord of three, nine, or thirteen knots.

It was believed that witches of old cast a death spell over a person by tying the knots and then hiding the cord, and the only way to undo the spell was to find the secreted cord and untie each knot.

Today, Wiccans and Neo Pagans use witch’s ladders primarily in healing, binding, and wish-granting rituals. They can also be used to “bind the thirteen moons of the year,” purportedly to allow the witch to better work weather and nature magic, and to open the doorway to the Faery realm.

Knot magick spells are numerous and aim to achieve many different outcomes. The current view held by many Wiccans is seen in this poem by Wiccan poet Enadus:

A knot is not a useless thing It keeps in place with rope and string Not all kept is hard or soft Knots can keep wishes, hope and thoughts Held by magick knots we make For life and love not to forsake.

Knot spells have been created for cutting pain, binding love, and travelling safely. The string or cord can be made out of almost any material, but natural fibres such as hair, wool, hemp and cotton are preferred. Although ladders are often created for as part of a specific spell, many wiccan’s keep a personal ladder. In this case, the knots or beads are used to keep track of repetition in a spell or prayer, similar to Rosary beads.

The witch’s ladder can be created a section at a time or all at once. Either way, special chants are spoken during the creation process to empower the talisman to do its creator’s bidding

Before you make your Witches’ Ladder you must first be clear on what it is you wish to accomplish.

You will need:

About a yard of cord or ribbon in three colours – the colour depending on what you want to use the ladder for:

  • green for money;
  • red for passion;
  • white for creativity;
  • black to stop bad habits;
  • brown for balance;
  • yellow for happiness;
  • orange for health;
  • blue for peace;
  • purple for wisdom.

Beads, feathers, Hair or anything to knot into the ladder – the choice is personal and depends on the spell you are casting; You will need one item for each note total nine or multiples of nine of them ( example 9 feathers 9 beads and 9 twigs).

Casting Instructions for ‘ Witches Ladder’

Start the spell by braiding the three cords together, as you go you braid the beads, feathers etc into the ladder so you have nine evenly spaced items.

As you place each item in chant the following:

By knot of one, my spell’s begun.

By knot of two, it will come true.

By knot of three, so mote it be.

By knot of four, this power I store.

By knot of five, my spell is alive.

By knot of six, the spell I fix.

By knot of seven, events I’ll leaven .

By knot of eight, it will be fate.

By knot of nine, what is done is mine.

”The power has been raised and is now ‘stored’ in these knots, beads, feathers and in the cord.”

You can tie the ends of the ladder together and use it as a necklace for protection on your person or hang it somewhere close to where it is needed such as your bed head or chair.

If you want to use it for healing you untie and release the items in the knots like this:

You must release the knots one at a time – one a day – for nine consecutive days. Release them in the same order in which they were tied. As the knots are released the energy that was put into them releases and is used for the purpose that the ladder was made for. You can either bury the beads etc or keep them in a safe place.

The Moon Is High

The Moon is high at the witching hour,
Children come to this place of power;
Our hands are raised to four directions,
Spirit force is born again.

Amazing Grapes

Amazing grapes, how sweet the taste
That fed a lush like me
I drank too much wine at Festival
and lost my virginity

T’was grapes that taught my friends to cringe
Through grapes, my stress relieved
Obnoxious words come out my mouth
That you would not believe

Through many vinyards east and west
I have thus come so far
The grapevine has brought me comfort sure
While driving in my car

Amazing grapes, how sweet the taste
That fed a lush like me
I drank too much wine at Wiccan Fest
and lost my virginity

How sweet the sound of popping corks
To this great lover’s ear
It sooths the thirst upon my tongue
Don’t drink it after beer

Most raisins shrivel in the sun
While other grapes go free
Lets give the juice to everyone
Especially to me

Amazing grapes, how sweet the taste
That fed a lush like me
I drank too much wine at Ravenwood
and lost my virginity

I drank too much wine at Winter Star
And lost my virginity

Sung to the traditional Amazing Grace

Lyrics by: Pasha, “Pasha and the Pagans” 1993.

Ah Way Ya Hey

Ah way ah hey, ah way ah hey
I fly a hey, I fly a hey
Become the sun, the moon and stars
Way up I fly, I hey I hi

Closing Song

By the air that is her breath
By the fire of her bright spirit
By the waters of her womb
By the earth that is her body

Our circle is open yet unbroken
May the peace (love, joy) of the Goddess
Be ever in our hearts
Merry meet, and merry part and merry meet again

Earth My(Our) Body

Earth my(our) body, water my(our) blood: Air my(our) breath and fire my(our) spirit

In the heart of the light I am (x4)
In the dark of the night I am (x4)

In the freedom of the spirit I am (x1)
In the knowledge of the one I am (x1)
In the song of the light I am (x1)
In the mirror of the all I am (x1)

In the centre of the source I am (x4)

Moon Phase Chant

Where is the Moon when the Moon is new?
It’s a sliver to the right getting bigger every night

Where is the Moon when the Moon is round?
Rising as the sun is going down

Where is the Moon when the Moon is waning?
Sliver to the left till there’s no Moon remaining

Wiccan Amazing Grace

Amazing Grace, how sweet the earth
That formed (bore) a witch like me
I once was burned, now I survive
Was hanged but now I sing. (I’m free)

T’was grace that drew down the Moon
And grace that raised the sea
The magic of the people’s will
Will set our Mother free
