Over the years I have collected spells some have been useful while others not so! when I first started in the craft I found it important as they gave me ideas on how to create my own spells, some spell I came across where very interesting as I would not consider them to be a direct spell such as the witches handshake. While others where a bit of fun such as the stop the rain spell, and the To get someone to call you, these type of spells seem to work for beginners but not for the advanced witch. I am sure this is because the goddess wants her students to become confident in using magicks and as they advance they will realise that it is not really appropriate to cast such spells, but they are important to keep.

Over the years many people have asked me for spells or rituals to help them out the most common are for love, new job or to make their life easier in most cases all these people need is a bit of confidence so I will often give them a spell or chant that I have picked up along my journey. Not because I don’t want to give spells away but more to do with the need of the person asking. An ounce of confidence is more valuable than a pound of magicks

Below are a few spells that are great for the novice

Witches Hand Shake …

Extend your right index finger and lightly touch the wrist of the person exactly where the pulse is felt. By touching the pulse it throws the acquaintance completely off his / her balance for just an instant, but in that instant plant an initial thought, ( example : I am the one you want for the job ).

Stop the Rain Spell…

This is a spell to stop rain from coming to a town right before it falls.  When it starts getting dark, chant this with lots of feeling:

“Gods of power, Gods of might,
I bid you now, stop this plight,
Stop the rain, we need no more,
Let it fall, nevermore.”

Put allot of feeling in stopping rain from falling from the clouds and it will not fall, it will simply move to a area away from where you are and then fall

To get someone to call you…

Take a piece of parchment or fine quality writing paper and inscribe the name of the target. Write it in a circle twice, so the ends meet. As you do this, concentrate on the person’s face and your desire that they call you. Then, while still concentrating, put a needle through the centre of the circle created by the name. Place the charm by the phone.

The call will come within 5 minutes, 5 hours, or 5 day, depending on how well the spell was cast and how much will power was used. This spell is wonderful and worked for me……

To stop Gossip…

First you make a doll of this person and while you sew up the dolls lips you chant “If nothing but ill from your lips can fall, then let there be nothing from them at all”

This spell will make the person stop gossiping and make them not talk to you and if they do talk to you they will only good thing.
