Most people know Doreen Virtue from her extensive range of angel books and cards. Doreen Virtue was an extremely talented clairvoyant as a child but due to the fact that she would be teased on what she heard and saw by family and friends made it difficult for her to accept her gifts. So much so that she abandoned her talents and her angel guides although they never gave up on her.
Although she ignored her angel guides and tried to suppress their influence most of the time her guides where trying to assist her to become a teacher of mind-body-spirit issues.
It was only on July 15, 1995 when things changed for Doreen in a dramatic way her guide had informed her that her car was going to be stolen and it true Doreen Virtue style she ignored her guide and when on her way. While she was parking, two armed men, intent on a carjacking, brandished weapons and physically accosted the unsuspecting Doreen. The guide spoke to her again—it was loud, distinctly male, and it instructed her to scream with all her might. This time she listened, and her life was saved by passers-by who became alarmed and sent her attackers running.
From this day forward Doreen embraced her gifts and her guides and practiced everyday to learn to understand the information that she was receiving. As a psychologist this must have been difficult to create a bridge between practical medical knowledge and metaphysics but has her knowledge expanded her childhood gifts returned and her professional career merged creating “Angel Therapy,” in which she combined her background in psychology with her spiritual abilities.
Doreen Virtue is not just known for her range of books on angels, chakra’s, Crystal Children, Indigo Children, health and diet, and other mind-body-spirit issues, or even her numerous workshops. She is also know for her numerous guest with appearances on Oprah, CNN, Good Morning America, The View with Barbara Walters, Donny & Marie, Roseanne, and other chat show. Or her columns and articles in the press including McCall’s, TV Guide, Woman’s Day, First for Women, Vegetarian Times, Lotus, Woman’s World, Miracles, Bridal Trends, USA. Today, The Los Angeles Times, The New York Daily News, The Boston Globe, Men’s Fitness, Shape, and The Denver Post.
So thing you may not know about Doreen Virtue is that she who holds B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees in counselling psychology, she was Cheap Cialis the founder and former director of WomanKind Psychiatric Hospital at Cumberland Hall Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
