Elemental beings
As witches and pagans we are in constant contact with the elements in each element in its own right as mystical creatures attached to them. These mystical creatures are the spirit guardians of particular elements. Earth spirits are known as gnomes, the spirit of air are known as Sylphs, the spirits of fire are known as salamanders and spirits of water are known as Undines.
Although often pictured as sweet and innocent creatures elementals can be very tricky to handle and sometimes very unhelpful, great care is needed when invoking elemental beings.
Elemental Earth spirits-Gnomes
gnomes are said to protect the secrets of the Earth and often are depicted as miners living in caves. Gnomes don’t particularly like working with humans and can be very reluctant to offer any aid but if you can manage to gain the trust of one they can prove to be extremely reliable allies. Fair warning to begin to anyone who up sets a Gnomes as they have a tendency of exacting their revenge with full force and unrelenting passions. In some legends relating to Gnomes the leader was called gob and his followers became known as goblins a wandering spirit who would attach themselves to a family or home offering assistance online drugs without a prescription with chores and childcare.
Elemental air spirits-Sylphs
Sylphs are invisible most of the time and they inhabit all aspects of air and have a responsibility for ensuring that all the plants grow. They are also said to guide the human race inspiring them, as muses they whisper deep into our hearts and minds. The King of the Sylphs is called a Paralda. If when Sylphs chooses to appear human being to come in the form seems to be the classic image of fairies and the soft image fool you fairies can be fierce warriors.
Elemental fire spirits-salamanders
salamanders inhabit and control all elements of fire and is only through their activities can fire exists. Salamanders come in all sizes from small ones that control single flames to large ones that can control forest fires. Salamanders are extremely strong and extremely powerful and have the ability to change their size that will. The King of fire is Djin. When working with salamanders it is advisable to take great care as they do seem to have a mischievous side and easily get out of control.
Elemental water spirits-Undines
Undines exist in all fluids whether that be rivers, oceans, lakes or even the humidity in the air. When Undines appeared to humans they have a number of different guises including the beautiful water nymph, mermaids or even small winged creatures often mistaken as fairies. Undines are very friendly and open and enjoy working with humans. The ruler of Undines is being called Necksa /Nicsa.
