This is another excerpt from one of my favorite study books:

    ~ Color Magick Counts ~

One of the ways crystals and stones generate energy is through their colors. A multicolored stone can serve several purposes, although the dominate color in the stone is really the strongest.

    * Mineral Magick Through Color *

~ Red – Courage, perseverance, strength of will

~ Orange – Optimism, hope, antidote for fear or depression

~ Yellow or gold – Problem solving, inventiveness, joy, confidence

~ Green – Resolution of conflict, compassion, gratitude, monetary gain

~ Blue – Idealism, devotion, perspective, calm

~ Violet – Unity with the All, truth, devotion, responsibility, antidote for feeling disconnected or alone

~ Pink – Delight, compassion, playfulness, self acceptance

~ White or clear – Purity, hope, spirituality, health in mind and body, clear thinking

~ Brown or black – Stability, common sense, practical solutions, honesty

A mixture of different colored stones and crystals may be used when you want to achieve a variety of changes all at once. For example, a piece of pink quartz along with a piece of smoky quartz could be blessed and given to young people just starting out on their own to fill them with self-acceptance and playfulness tempered by common sense and practicality.
