Good Morning everyone sorry did post a blessing yesterday but it was rather a dark mood day although today is not much better. My though spring to our history, for each of us we have our personal, family and cultural histories which have shaped us and moulded us into the people we are. Each of our histories contain dark times which we often try and forget and move on from but when the light is just right the darkness from our past can cast shadows on the present hiding the path form view. At which point we are left with little choice do we stand still and become engulfed in the darkness or stumble around looking for away out or do we push on seeking the light. Me like most often get engulfed allowing our feeling to control us there is no shame or weakness in feeling pain and reacting badly to situations. The only shame is not admitting that things are getting / got or are difficult. It’s only when we face our darkness and defeat it can we move on.
So today I wish you have the strength to face and conquer the darkness and make the future a brighter vision Brightest Blessings Draco )o(/|\ - Wednesday — Woden's day

The story goes that the Goddess Cybele fell deeply in love with a young man named Attis. She watched him in his daily life and fell more and more in love with him. Unfortunately, Attis did not feel the same towards Cybele – and instead fell in love with an the King's daughter. When Cybele heard of this she was heartbroken. In a fit of jealous rage, she cast a curse on Attis that drove him mad. He ran through the woods in a crazed fury and stopped at the base of a fir tree, where he took a rock and castrated himself. It is said that the blood that he spilled hit the ground and the first violets sprung up. Attis died from his wound and the heartbroken Cybele resurrected him as a fir tree. From that day forward she would have violets and a fir tree adorn her temple.
A yearly ritual has been performed to purify the body of the dead Attis. The priests — referred to as Galli or Gallae — are emasculated in emulation of Attis. A fir tree is chopped down, covered with violets and carried to the shrine of Cybele on Mt. Dindymus. There Attis is mourned for 3 days.
