I wanted to know if you would pass this along, for any of the solitary practitioners out there in need of a good and simple ritual for Lammas (lughnasadh)I have written this one for my coven mates, as we have all moved away from each other rather recently, and can not be together for ritual. Brightest Blessings!

light candle in honor of Lugh, Thank Lugh for the harvest, and for your abilities. These are due to Lugh, the God of Skills. pledge to learn something new in the coming year. plant the seeds of a fertile mind and learn a new skill, craft or recipe. use your imagination. Slice off a piece of the apple and take a bite. thank the apple for its nourishment to your body. reflect on how nature gives of herself so that we may survive and flourish. lay the apple aside.
Take a slice of the bread and break a piece off. Take a bite. Think about the grains, the seeds of the plants that were ground into the flour. Think about all of the people and the plants that gave of themselves to make it possible for you to take part of the nourishment, and give thanks. put the rest of the bread aside.
Pick up your glass of juice or wine. Meditate in the same way. think of the vines that the berries grew on, the nourishment that Mother Earth gave to the plant, so that you can drink of the juice of the berry (or apple if you chose apple juice) drink all but a sip and set it aside. Take a few more moments to be thankful for the harvest and the abilities that you have.
this is the time to send out any blessings, energies, or work any magicks that you wish to work. Bless the magicks that our covenmates are working. Accept any energies that are being sent your way.
Close your circle in your usual way, thank Goddess, God, ancestors, dismiss the quarters, thanking them for protecting and watching over your works.
Take all the scraps from the ritual and offer them at the base of a tree.
Happy Lughnasadh!!!
Blessed BE!

I hear Her Song rustle through the Trees
The Earth vibrates with her tune of Life
May She cleanse the world and eliminate Strife
The Waters shimmer with Her Silver Shine
We are Her Children, We are Thyne
I attune with the Goddess, She dwells Within
She is always with me, where'er I have Been
By Her Moonlight's luminous, radiant Glow
The Tides move to Her Ebb and Flow
The Fire Burns with your Sacred Flame Bright
It warms and comforts Me, throughout the Night
She is the Great Mother of all Creation
Sacred Silver Lady, You are my Rock and Foundation

THE DANCING FAIRIES OF THE RING came one evening late in November, which is the month when spirits have most power over all things, as the prettiest girl in all the island was going to the well for water, her foot slipped and she fell, it was an unlucky omen, and when she got up and looked round it seemed to her as if she were in a strange place, and all around her was changed as if by enchantment. But at some distance she saw a great crowd gathered round a blazing fire, and she was drawn slowly on towards them, till at last she stood in the very midst of the people; but they kept silence, looking fixedly at her; and she was afraid, and tried to turn and leave them, but she could not. Then a beautiful youth, like a prince, with a red sash, and a golden band on his long yellow hair, came up and asked her to dance.
"It is a foolish thing of you, sir, to ask me to dance," she said, "when there is no music."
Then he lifted his hand and made a sign to the people, and instantly the sweetest music sounded near her and around her, and the young man took her hand, and they danced and danced till the moon and the stars went down, but she seemed like one floating on the air, and she forgot everything in the world except the dancing, and the sweet low music, and her beautiful partner.
At last the dancing ceased, and her partner thanked her, and invited her to supper with the company. Then she saw an opening in the ground, and a flight of steps, and the young man, who seemed to be the king amongst them all, led her down, followed by the whole company. At the end of the stairs they came upon a large hall, all bright and beautiful with gold and silver and lights; and the table was covered with everything good to eat, and wine was poured out in golden cups for them to drink. When she sat down they all pressed her to eat the food and to drink the wine; and as she was weary after the dancing, she took the golden cup the prince handed to her, and raised it to her lips to drink. Just then, a man passed close to her, and whispered–
"Eat no food, and drink no wine, or you will never reach your home again."
So she laid down the cup, and refused to drink. On this they were angry, and a great noise arose, and a fierce, dark man stood up, and said–
"Whoever comes to us must drink with us."
And he seized her arm, and held the wine to her lips, so that she almost died of fright. But at that moment a red-haired man came up, and he took her by the hand and led her out.
"You are safe for this time," he said. "Take this herb, and hold it in your hand till you reach home, and no one can harm you." And he gave her a branch of a plant called the Athair-Luss the ground ivy. In Ancient Egypt the ivy was sacred to Osiris, and a safeguard against evil. This she took, and fled away along the sward in the dark night; but all the time she heard footsteps behind her in pursuit. At last she reached home and barred the door, and went to bed, when a great clamour arose outside, and voices were heard crying to her–
"The power we had over you is gone through the magic of the herb; but wait–when you dance again to the music on the hill, you will stay with us for evermore, and none shall hinder."
However, she kept the magic branch safely, and the fairies never troubled her more; but it was long and long before the sound of the fairy music left her ears which she had danced to that November night on the hillside with her fairy lover.

Huna is the healing and spiritual shamanism of ancient Hawai'i. It is the original art and science of healing and spiritual development of the peoples of the earth. If you're interested in spiritual growth and personal development, or expansion of your awareness and your connection to universal spirit, then you'll find that getting in touch with the consciousness [of Huna] will awaken something inside you that perhaps you only dimly remember.
In Hawai'i, the teaching of Huna was originally called Ho'omana (to make "Mana", or life force energy). The word H'oo means to make.
The word "Mana" means life force energy. Equivalent to Ki (as in Aikido), Chi (as in Tai Chi) or Shakti or Prana in the Sanskrit language. You may use another word that you prefer, meaning Life Force Energy. The Hawaiians call it Mana. Taken together, the word Ho'omana means to empower or empowerment. When you have Life Force Energy you are empowered, are you not?
The people, called Kahuna, who practiced these techniques and teachings knew that all power and all force emanated from the One, the source of All — all life, all energy, which in Hawai'i was called I'o. In those times, the same knowledge was taught everywhere else on the planet, too. Around the world today, only remnants of this system survive.
There are only remnants of this system around the Earth, because starting in 325 A.D, (it may have started as early as several thousands years B.C.) a wave began to sweep around the planet in an attempt to destroy the balanced systems — the original teachings of the peoples of the Earth. The wave hit Hawai'i sometime between 750 and 1250 A.D. At the same time, the Kahuna Pa'ao arrived in Hawai'i from Tahiti (which by the way the word Tahiti in Hawaiian language means somewhere other than here it doesn't necessarily means the physical place called Tahiti) and found a very peace-loving people living in a paradise.
Several years later Pa'ao returned with a number of warriors and priests who overturned the original teaching. The old order was overturned and the current order of Ku was installed. One purpose of the original teaching was the study of the ways of increasing life force energy, to give every single human the power in his own hands, ultimate means to create what they totally want in their life. The notion of Life Force is a very important notion. What's also important in the process is also to learn how to make connections with the sources of Mana both inside and outside yourself. The scope of Huna is quite broad — if you think of it this way, there is one teaching and it has many different names.
According to kahuna legend, this ancient symbol below radiates an energy that increases happiness and good fortune. The circles represent unconditional love (Aloha), the branching lines represent divine power (Mana), and the total of eight circles and lines represents abundant good (Pono). The symbol is said to be a channel for the blessing of whatever location it is in and whoever is in sight of it. We bring it back to help transform the world.
