Book Review: The Green Dragon

How can a book go wrong with a resounding introduction by blogger Publius Redux? He claims this book is a novel analysis of the undercurrent of urgency and irrationality characteristic of climate doomsayers’ prophecy and that it explains the haunting familiarity of the preaching and proselytizing we have endured from the climate change fearmongers.

Publius is introducing The Green Dragon by Dr. James Wanliss, a book about how environmentalism is committed to the reconstruction of a pagan world order and rejection of Christian spirituality.The author argues that the environmental movement is a religion with a vision of sin and repentance, heaven and hell. It even has a special vocabulary, with words like sustainability and carbon neutral. He says its saints are Al Gore and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

That would certainly add to Al Gore’s list of accomplishments, Vice President, acclaimed movie director, Nobel Prize Winner, now possibly a Saint. I’m not sure how you can Canonize the entire IPCC, or Al Gore while he is living, but reality is apparently not a problem here.

Dr. Wanliss is upset by the strength of the Christian environmental movement, which is based upon good stewardship. He blames the National Council of Churches as both professing Protestants and Roman Catholics bear a burden of guilt for the current political mess we are in with the global warming and other hysterias. He thinks that if the church had not turned from the gospel of Jesus Christ, it is unlikely the Green Dragon would have been able to so deeply sink its fangs into our lives.

Perhaps that’s a bit dramatic, but he also claims there has been, in past decades, a cosmic shift towards a social climate that begins to favor the environment – polar bears, trees, and bugs – over human beings. Well, where would we be without the bears, trees, environment, and umm bugs?

He also thinks that environmentalists have infiltrated Christian higher education by careful placement of teachers and teaching materials on environmental activism in schools associated with the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities. He says that little by little, the wolves try to douse Christian resistance and lead sheep by troubled waters to accept the inevitability of a divine environmental movement to synthesize a Christian environmentalism that can succeed only by exorcising truth, and ultimately, by expelling Christianity.

It’s hard to argue with that. Instead, let’s try to imagine the reception Dr. Wanliss, Pablius, prescription medicine and their followers may get on Judgment Day, when they stand before the Pearly Gates.

St. Peter: Why are all of you here?

Dr. Wanliss: We exposed the Global Warmists as pagans. We have saved Christianity from their influence. We’re here to claim our rightful place in heaven.

St. Peter,looking into a large black book: Hmmm. It says under Dr. James Wanliss – Poor stewardship, led a movement whose followers damaged the Earth that God hath given man.

Dr. Wanliss, looking nervous: We didn’t know it would turn out that way. Pollution is invisible – the changes to the Earth were so small at first – and we thought CO2 was only a plant food.

St. Peter: We gave you Science so you would understand those things. Didn’t you study it?

Dr. Wanliss: You know how those Global Warming scientists are, always going around casting doubt on our beliefs. You can’t be a Global Warmist scientist and be a Christian.

St. Peter, peering over his glasses: I don’t know. We’ve let a lot of them into Heaven. Who are you to judge them? And, he thundered, God is a little upset about that damage to the Earth.

Dr. Wanliss, looking distraught: Are you going to send us to, to…?

St Peter: No, no. That’s not the punishment for poor stewardship. We’re going to send you back to Earth so you can clean up the mess you helped make of it.

Dr. Wanliss: But, but.. it’s hot down there and it’s certainly not a pleasant place to live anymore. How would we know what to do?

St Peter, with a dismissive gesture: Some of you were scientists. Maybe you’ll get it right next time. We’ll check on you in 50 years. Poof!

For 2012 I pledge 211x300 For 2012 I pledge ritualA simple ritual for New Years Eve, this ritual is designed so you can add extra elements to make it personal. The ritual it’s self is based on a pledge (resolutions) of the things you wish to achieve you will notice that the open of the circle has been changed from the common format that many will use but the unwinding of the circle reinforces the idea of change.

I have provided this ritual in several different versions for download, as the pledge should be committed to the element of Fire to activate.

To the East I call the ever-living Air the voice of the divine in elemental form! Come witness.

To the South I call the ever-powerful Fire the desire of the divine creative and destructive in elemental form.

To the West I call the ever-fulfilling Water cleansing and purifying the divine in elemental form.

To the North I call the ever-stabile Earth secure and eternal the divine in elemental form.

Now I add spirit thine own to seal this space of divine works.

Welcome my Goddess __________ and My God ______ I have invited you here to bare witness and fill me with the strength to complete the things on this list.

Calling the Quarters

circle 150x150 Calling the QuartersThe quarters or watchtowers are called to attend and protect Wiccan and some other pagan paths, rituals and circles. Each of the quarters represents an element Earth, Air, Fire and water. These elements are often assigned to a compass point the most common version is Earth – North, Air – East, Fire – South and Water – West.

Although the most common version of the quarters is used in most Wiccan groups there are slight variations there can be wider variations for the solitary practitioner as they attune themselves to a location and not a group, example if a witch can see the see the sea from his or her north facing window, mountains in the west it would be very logical for the witch to place the Water quarter in the north and the earth in the west leaving air and fire where they are.

Wherever you place the quarters or watch towers you will need to invoke in the correct way. or the way I was taught, was to visualise the guardian of the watchtower or quarter coming in to form and substance as you chant the an incantation which is used to invite the guardian to stand guard and protect the circle as well as adding the energy to the ritual. The Guardian is then held in place with the corresponding invoking pentagram (see below).

Once the ritual is complete the elements and Guardians are released with the banishing pentagram with a thank you for attending.

In Wicca, the invocation of the elements is performed after casting your circle.

As you call the element raise your arms in the blessing position. The elements are usually called starting in the East, place of Air and new beginnings. You then turn deosil (clockwise) to the South to call Fire, then to the West to call Water and to the North to call Earth, finally turning back to the East to complete the circular motion.

The traditional Wiccan way of calling the elements, which is published in many books on Wicca is as follows:

Ye Lords of the Watchtowers of the East, ye Lords of Air; I do summon call and stir you up, to witness our rites and to guard the Circle

Ye Lords of the Watchtowers of the South, ye Lords of Fire; I do summon call and stir you up, to witness our rites and to guard the Circle

Ye Lords of the Watchtowers of the West, ye Lords of Water; I do summon call and stir you up, to witness our rites and to guard the Circle

Ye Lords of the Watchtowers of the North, ye Lords of Earth; I do summon call and stir you up, to witness our rites and to guard the Circle

And the words used to dismiss the elements are :-

Ye Lords of the Watchtowers of the North, ye Lords of Earth; I thank you for attending my rite; and ere you depart to your fair and lovely realms, I bid thee Hail and Farewell.

Basic Dragon Ritual

nightfire 150x1502 Basic Dragon RitualThis is the basis of all Dragon rituals in the practice of Dragon Magick. The practicing magician can insert his / her own music, dance, meditation, or personal rituals that they have written in appropriate places without disrupting the flow of energy. When you read through this ritual you will see that certain things are to be done at certain times other than that the Magician can do what feels right to her / him. It is important that you have all the appropriate tools and materials you will need before starting. Make any preparations so that nothing disturbs you. If you are practicing decreasing Magick it is important to remember that anywhere in the ritual that it says “circle clockwise”, you should circle counter clockwise. Another way of doing this is to cast a clockwise outer circle with a counter clockwise inner circle.

Setting up Ritual :

Begin the ritual by going to the East, with sword in power hand “draw” Magickal circle on floor around ritual area. This is done by pointing sword at the floor and seeing great flames shooting from it. Move clockwise around the circle with this flame ; end by overlapping it in the East. While drawing the circle, say: By Dragon Power, This Circle is Sealed.

Return to the altar. Point the Sword at Dragon Pentacle and say:

Dragons of Spirit, Highest of Dragons and Most Powerful, Bless This Altar With Your Fire. Let Us Be One In Magick, O Dragons Great and Wise.

Set the Water Chalice on the pentacle. With the wand in power hand, circle the chalice three times clockwise with the wand and say: Air, Fire, Earth, Bring Power Forth. Water Of Land and Sea, Purified Be.

Hold the Chalice high and say:

Draconis! Draconis! Draconis!

Sprinkle the water lightly around the circled area beginning and ending in the

East. Set the dish of salt on the Pentacle. Circle it three times clockwise with the wand and say:

Water, Air, Fire, Hear My Desire. Salt of Earth and Sea, Purified Be.

Sprinkle a few grains of salt to each corner of the altar. Circle the incense burner three times with the wand, say:

Fire of Dragons, Fire of Earth, You Are Purified. Bring Power Forth.

Circle the Incense and Herbs three times clockwise with the wand, say:

Incense Magickal, Incense Bold, Awake The Dragons, As Of Old. I Call You Purified.

Put a small amount of incense onto the burning coals. Lift the burner by the chains and touch it lightly to the Pentacle. Lift it high over the altar, say:

Draconis! Draconis! Draconis!

Then carry it clockwise around the circle, beginning and ending in the East. Return the burner to the Altar. Take up Sword in both hands and kneel before the Altar. Mentally dedicate self to the study of Dragon Magick. Project your interest and love for Dragons as strongly as possible. Continue doing so for several minutes, then rise and point the Sword at the Dragon Pentacle and say with power and confidence:

Behold, All Dragons and Rulers of Dragons, I am (magickal name), a Magician Who Seeks Dragon Magick. With (name of Sword) In My Hand, I Enter the Realm of The Dragons, Not For Physical Battle, But For Knowledge and Power. I Greet You, O Dragons Ancient and Wise, and Await Your Blessing and Guidance. Continue holding the Sword outstretched until you feel the blessing of the Dragons. It is for this reason that a light sword is best used in ritual. When the flowing power of the Dragons Blessing has lessened, lower the sword. Still holding the sword in Power hand, take up the Dragon Pentacle in the other and go to the East. Point the sword at the Eastern position and hold the Pentacle facing outward. Draw a Invoking Pentagram with the Sword (see illustration), say:

From Sairys (sair’-iss), Ruler Of The Eastern Dragons Fair, Comes Now The

Wondrous Power Of Air

Invoking Pentagram

Feel the power of Air entering body with sword outstretched. When the flow stops, go to the South. Hold up the Dragon Pentacle again , draw an invoking

Pentagram with the Sword, say:

From Fafnir (faf’-near),Ruler Of Dragons Of The South, Comes Cleansing Fire From Dragon Mouth

Note: Feel the power of Fire entering body and when it stops go to the next direction. Repeat the process of Holding up the Dragon Pentacle and drawing a invoking pentagram for each of the directions. Go to the West, say:

From Naelyan (nail’-yon) Ruler Of Dragons Of The West, Comes The Power Of Water

Draw into the body the power of Water. Go to the North and say:

From Grael (grail), Ruler Of Dragons Of The North, The Power Of Earth Does Now

Come Forth

Draw into oneself the power of Earth. When it stops return to the Altar, lay aside the Sword and Dragon Pentacle. Add the appropriate herbal incense to the incense burner according to the ritual you are performing. At this point insert the appropriate chants and workings for the particular spellworking or meditation to be performed. If there is a problem that is unsolveable by physical means or by magic then now is also the time to ask the Dragons for advice on how to solve it. The Dragons are able to give new insight into ways of solving it. Continue to feel their power and direction as their directions are written down. When finished with the spellworking, tap staff three times and chant:

I Thank You, Dragons Old And Wise, Of Earth And Fire, Water, Skies, For Sharing Wisdom Here With Me. As We Will, So Shall It Be

Always approach the Dragons as Equals not as a force to be ordered or conquered.

Set the Wine Chalice on the Pentacle. Circle it three times with the wand, say:

Cup Of Power, Cup Of Might, Dragon Magick, Be Here This Night

Drink the Wine (apple cider or grape juice may be substituted if unable to drink wine), saving back some to be poured outside on the ground later as an offering to the Dragons. If it is not possible to pour the offering outside then leave it on the Altar for about an hour, after closing your ritual. Now is the an excellent time to chant and use free-form dancing and invite the Dragons to share in the raised energy and joy of being a Magician. Talk to them about hopes and dreams, listen to see if they have suggestions or words of encouragement.

This is an opportunity for close friendships to be forged.

Closing the Ritual

To close the ritual, take the sword and go to each of the directions draw a banishing pentagram (see illustration) and say the appropriate words for that direction

To the East, say:

Go In Peace, Dragons Of The East, And Return Again In The Ritual Hour

To the South, say:

Go In Peace, Dragons Of The South, And Return Again In The Ritual Hour

To the West, say:

Go In Peace, Dragons Of The West, And Return Again In The Ritual Hour

To the North, say

Go In Peace, Dragons Of The North, And Return Again In the Ritual Hour

Return to the Altar. Raise both arms, say:

Farewell To You, O Dragons Fair, Fire, Water, Earth, and Air.Together We Make Magick Well By Power Deep and Dragon Spell. In Peace Go Now. Return Once More To Teach Me Magick and Ancient Lore.

Draconis! Draconis! Draconis!

Cut the circle with a backward sweep of the Sword across the boundary line.

Extinguish the candles. Clear the Altar of all tools except any offerings to the Dragons if unable to pour outside.

This ritual is the basis of any and all rituals of Dragon Magick. Any specific spell workings need to be placed within this framework at the appropriate times.

In this creation myth the first humans develop in to the modern Kabyls or Kabylians

The First Human Beings

In the beginning there were only one man and one woman and they lived not on the earth but beneath it. They were the first people in the world and neither knew that the other was of another sex.

One day they both came to the well to drink. The man said, “Let me drink.”

The woman said, “No, I’ll drink first. I was here first.”

The man tried to push the woman aside. She struck him. They fought. The man smote the woman so that she dropped to the ground. Her clothing fell to one side. Her thighs were naked.

The man saw the woman lying strange and naked before him. He saw that she had a taschunt. He felt that he had a thabuscht. He looked at the taschunt and asked, “What is that for?”

The woman said, “That is for good.”

The man lay upon the woman. He lay with the woman eight days.

After nine months the woman bore four daughters. Again, after nine months, she bore four sons, and again four daughters and again four sons. So at last the man and the woman had fifty daughters and fifty sons. The father and the mother did not know what to do with so many children. So they sent them away.

The fifty maidens went off together towards the north. The fifty young men went off together towards the east. After the maidens had been on their way northwards under the earth for a year, they saw a light above them. There was a hole in the earth.

The maidens saw the sky above them and cried, “Why stay under the earth when we can climb to the surface where we can see the sky?”

The maidens climbed up through the hole and on to the earth.

The fifty youths likewise continued in their own direction under the earth for a year until they, too, came to a place where there was a hole in the crust and they could see the sky above them.

The youths looked at the sky and cried, “Why remain under the earth when there is a place from which one can see the sky?”

So they climbed through their hole to the surface.

Thereafter the fifty maidens went their way over the earth’s surface and the youths went their way and none knew aught of the others.

At that time all trees and plants and stones could speak. The fifty maidens saw the plants and asked them, “Who made you?”

And the plants replied, “The earth.”

The maidens asked the earth, “Who made you?”

And the earth replied, “I was already here.”

During the night the maidens saw the moon and the stars and they cried, “Who made you that you stand so high over us and over the trees? Is it you who give us light? Who are you, great and little stars? Who created you? Or are you, perhaps, the ones who have made everything else?” All the maidens called and shouted. But the moon and the stars were so high that they could not answer.

The youths had wandered into the same region and could hear the fifty maidens shouting.

They said to one another, “Surely here are, other people like ourselves. Let us go and see who they are.” And they set off in the direction from which the shouts had come.

But just before they reached the place they came to the bank of a great stream. The stream lay between the fifty maidens and the fifty youths. The youths had, however, never seen a river before, so they shouted. The maidens heard the shouting in the distance and came towards it.

The maidens reached the other bank of the river, saw the fifty youths and cried, “Who are you? What are you shouting? Are you human beings, too?”

The fifty youths shouted back, “We, too, are human beings. We have come out of the earth. But what are you yelling about?”

The maidens replied, “We, too, are human beings and we, too, have come out of the earth. We shouted and asked the moon and the stars who had made them or if they had made everything else.”

The fifty boys spoke to the river, “You are not like us,” they said. “We cannot grasp you and cannot pass over you as one can pass over the earth. What are you? How can one cross over you to the other side?”

The river said, “I am the water. I am for bathing and washing. I am there to drink. If you want to reach my other shore go upstream to the shallows. There you can cross over me.”

The fifty youths went upstream, found the shallows and crossed over to the other shore. The fifty youths now wished to join the fifty maidens, but the latter cried, “Do not come too close to us. We won’t stand for it. You go over there, and we’ll stay here leaving that strip of steppe between us.”

So the fifty youths and the fifty maidens continued on their way, some distance, apart, but travelling in the same direction.

One day the fifty boys came to a spring. The fifty maidens also came to a spring.

The youths said, “Did not the river tell us that water was to bathe in? Come, let us bathe.”

The fifty youths laid aside their clothing and stepped down into the water and bathed. The fifty maidens sat around their spring and saw the youths in the distance. A bold maiden said, “Come with me and we shall see what the other human beings are doing.”

Two maidens replied, “We’ll come with you.” All the others refused.

The three maidens crept through the bushes towards the fifty youths. Two of them stopped on the way. Only the bold maiden came, hidden by the bushes, to the very place where the youths were bathing. Through the bushes the maiden looked at the youths who had laid aside their clothing. The youths were naked. The maiden looked at all of them. She saw that they were not like the maidens. She looked at everything carefully. As the youths dressed again the maiden crept away without their having seen her.

The maiden returned to the other maidens who gathered around her and asked, “What have you seen?”

The bold maiden replied, “Come, we’ll bathe, too, and then I can tell you and show you.”

The fifty maidens undressed and stepped down into their spring.

The bold maiden told them, “The people over there are not as we are. Where our breasts are, they have nothing. Where our taschunt is, they have something else. The hair on their heads is not long like ours, but short. And when one sees them naked one’s heart pounds and one wishes to embrace them. When one has seen them naked, one can never forget it.”

The other maidens replied, “You lie.”

But the bold maiden said, “Go and see for yourselves and you’ll come back feeling as I do.”

The other maidens replied, “We’ll continue on our way.”

The fifty maidens continued on their way and so did the fifty youths. But the youths went ahead slowly. The maidens, on the other hand, described a half circle so that they crossed the path of the youths. They camped quite close to one another.

On this day the youths said, “Let us not sleep under the sky any more. Let us build houses.”

A few of the youths began to make themselves holes in the earth. They slept in the holes. Others made themselves passages and rooms under the earth and slept in them. But a few of the youths said, “What are you doing digging into the earth to make houses? Are there not stones here that we can pile them one upon the other?”

The youths gathered stones and piled them one on the other in layers. When they had built the walls one of them went off and began to fell a tree.

But the tree cried and said, “What, you will cut me down? What are you doing? Do you think you are older than I? What do you think to gain by it?”

The youth answered, “I am not older than you, nor do I wish to be presumptuous. I simply wish to cut down fifty of you trees and lay the trunks across my house for a roof. Your branches and twigs I will lay within the house to protect them from the wet.”

The tree answered, “That is well.”

The youth then cut down fifty trees, laid their trunks across his house and covered them with earth. The branches he cut up and stored away inside the house. A few of the larger trunks he set upright in the house to carry the weight of the roof. When the others saw how fine the house was they did even as he had done.

Among the youths there was a wild one, just as among the maidens one was wild and untamed. This wild youth would not live in a house. Rather he preferred to creep in and out among the houses of the others seeking someone whom he could rend and devour. For he was so wild that he thought only of killing and eating others.

The fifty maidens were encamped at a distance. Looking, they saw how the fifty youths first dug themselves holes and tunnels in the earth and how they finally built their houses.

They asked one another, “What are these other humans doing? What are they doing with the stones and the trees?”

The bold maiden said, “I’ll go there again. I will sneak over and see what these other humans are doing. I have seen them naked once and I want to see them again.”

The bold maiden crawled through the bushes to the houses. She came quite close. Finally she slid into a house. There was no one there. The maiden looked around and saw how fine the house was. The wild one came by outside. He scented the maiden. He roared. The maiden screamed and, dashing out of the house, made for the place where the other maidens were encamped.

All the youths heard the maiden scream and all jumped up and ran after her. The maiden ran through the bushes and screamed. The other maidens heard her. They sprang to their feet and ran in her direction to help her. In the bushes the fifty maidens and the fifty youths came together, each maiden with a youth. They fought in the bushes, the maidens with the youths. Even the wild maiden encountered the wild youth in the bushes.

It was dark in the bushes and they fought in pairs. No pair could see the next one. The fifty maidens were strong. They hurled the fifty youths to the ground, and threw themselves on top of them. And they said to themselves, “Now I will see at last if the bold maiden lied.”

The maidens seized the youths between the thighs. They found the thabuscht. As they touched it, it swelled and the youths lay quite still. As the maidens felt the thabuscht of the youths, their hearts began to swell. The fifty maidens threw aside their clothes and inserted the thabuscht in their taschunt. The youths lay quite still. The fifty maidens began to ravish the fifty youths. Thereupon the fifty youths became more active than the fifty maidens.

Every youth took a maiden and brought her into his house. They married.

Beltane Solitary Ritual

maypole 300x2251 Beltane Solitary RitualThis ritual is originally from Wiccan Path by Rae Beth and is a lovely ritual for solitary wiccans, and great for the newbie I found that it lack the passion of Beltaine so for the less subdued of you I have made adjustment to the original text. Now I have used this ritual before so the adaptations are not new to me. For the beginner and for some people the idea of sex and sexuality can be a difficult subject to talk about when it comes to ritual.

The one thing that you need to keep in mind is Beltane marks the union of the two deities, bringing new life to the earth and the keyword is UNION, which does mean sexual relations. We as pagan do not fear sex but embrace it’s a natural act. The reason I have included the adaptations is that it shows how you can take a very good ritual and without to much work make it personal or more in tune with the festival / Sabbat

Preparation

Before this ritual you should, spend some time, creating a wand. The wand should be 13 inches long and about half an inch thick. The tip of the wand should be carved into the shape of a phallus. Although it is acceptable to just use a branch with the bark peeled off.

The wood should either be Oak or Hazel (remember. Do not take the word from a living tree).

The wand should be placed on your alter a long, with a prepared dish of earth.

The Ritual

Cast the Circle and invoke the Lady (goddess) and the Lord (god). After the invocation, dance and chant to raise power for magical activities and then earth the power into an unlit candle, placed inside the cauldron, at the centre of the circle. Chant the following (or make up your own!):

Beltane!
I dance with delight
on Beltane’s night.
All senses freeing,
I dance for being.
The flower and the flame
of love’s own rite
shall blossom. Sun
embrace Earth, bright.

Light the candle to the Sun. This is the Beltane fire, our modern substitute for the hilltop bonfires of our ancestors. The Bel fire is an invocation to the Sun God to bring blessing and protection for the coming year. This is sacred fire with healing and purifying properties. As you light the candle, be aware of its power and significance. Say:

I light this candle to the Sun.

Now take up a dish of earth. Bless it in the name of the Goddess.

Lay your hands upon it and say:

I bless, consecrate, and set apart this earth, in the name of the Triple Goddess. May this be sacred earth, set apart for magick. For earth is of the Goddess, being her sacred body.

Remember that the Goddess is not only of the Moon, but also of the Earth and of the farthest stars. She is the Triple Goddess of the Circle of Rebirth, the Mother of All Life. Decorate the dish of earth with flowers.

Now, take a wooden wand and oil it with vegetable oil ( good quality oil something you have just bought for ritual *). Bless it in the name of the Lord of the Day, the youthful, ardent one, the Lord of Life, the God of the greenwood. Pass it swiftly through the candle flame, the Bel fire, so that it becomes magically imbued, ‘charged’, with power. Place the wand upon the dish of earth, saying as you hold it there: [1]

As the wand is to the earth,

so the male is to the female

and the Sun to our blossoming world.

Joined, they bring happiness.

May the God of Life give ___ {something you want, for example, peace on Earth}

May the Goddess bring it forth! [end 1]

Sit quietly for a while, and picture the blossoming of what you have desired in life. The spells and invocations of all of us, all working on themes like these, must eventually bear fruit, because life is on the side of peace. Leave the earth and wand upon the alter.

Walk deosil three times around the circle, and then spiral into the centre. Go evenly, with grace, meditatively. Sit beside the candle flame, allowing yourself to feel peaceful. Gaze into the flame.

The next part is different depending on whether you are man or woman.

For a Woman: visualize a red rosebud in your womb. Always your womb is the source of your creative power, whether you are pregnant with a child, an idea, a work of art or an intention. Close your eyes and picture the light from the candle streaming into your womb so that the rosebud blooms, unfolds. Hold the image for a while, feeling the silkiness, smelling the scent, the freshness, seeing the colour of the fully open rose within you. Feel the strength and power of your own fully blossomed capabilities. Say: [2]

strong to conceive and to create,
to give birth and to tend.

As I am daughter of the Goddess,
and blessed by the God, may I ___

Feel the strength and creative force within your womb, the centre of your being. See the power being channelled, flowing into the desire you have just voiced. Open your eyes. Always, the rose is within you.

For a Man: Visualize a bright flame. This burns within your sexual centre, a point at the base of the stomach, just above the pubic hairline. It is your own male strength and energy which may rise through your body to be released as giving, fertilizing power, in any form, or may be the potency which impregnates, creating a physical child. It is the force which blesses and bestows, a healing and creative energy, like the shining Sun. Visualize also that you are sitting in a garden and that a rose tree is in front of you, the roses in bud. Say:

As I am son of the Goddess,

Visualize the light streaming from you to a rose upon the tree causing it to unfold, to blossom. Your flame is lowered by this effort. Much has gone out of you, the flame sinks down. Wait and watch, until a pink light streams from the rose towards your body. At its touch, just above the pubic hairline the flame resurges. It burns higher and stronger than before. Open your eyes. The flame is always within you.

* if your going to use the adapted words keep in mind that the wand is going to be a phallus and a representation of the god so add a little sexual feeling to the oiling

Adaptation to wording

[1] Place the wand in earth (like when you place Athame in the chalice) , saying as you hold it there: as the wand is to the male and to the phallus the earth is the virgina and the womb may the seed create life. And let this life be {something you want, for example, peace on Earth} let the goddess grow it and let the god protect it and give it is strength.

3dec2syns4 150x150 Advanced Spiritual Chakra SystemI have always enjoyed chakra meditation, I have always use the standard seven chakra system working from the root chakra up the crowd chakra. One day as a practice my meditation, working slowly up from the base. I had an experience I had reached the Crown chakra and then it just seem to extend beyond the seventh and into an eight chakra and as I became aware of the chakra reforming and almost had a complete end of a chakra began to form below the root chakra. And as I tried to focus on the second new chakra it seemed to become a void, which all the energy that had been created during meditation collapsed into. Although this was not a pleasant feeling. It was rather disturbing I had never had an experience during meditation that was so mystifying.

I did my normal thing of my experiences, wrote up my process and attempted to recreate that experience, and I had great difficulty. I almost put it down to loss of concentration during meditation. Or I’d dozed off in parts. It kept niggling at me.

I did mention it to a friend of mine, who always smiles and looks at me with great pity. When I have something to ask. In his usual kind and teaching way, he explains simply that there were many more than seven chakras, and I want to say I was astonished I had never come across any reference to a more advanced chakra system.

But the idea that there were more than seven chakras did inspire the seeking of knowledge and the realisation that there could in fact be an infinite number of chakras and an infinite number of energy is available. Intrigued me.

So I added an eighth and ninth chakra to my own system one below the root chakra which is positioned, leg length from the root chakra. So if you are standing. The root chakra would be at your heels, it is seated, would be approximately 30 inches below your root chakra, and one above, the Crown chakra approximately 18 inches to 2 feet above.

I seemed to be stuck with these nine chakra is now with the hope that I would be able to increase them in but was unsure in which direction to move and then found its chakra system that contains 13 chakras. The remaining four all extending upwards from the Crown.

The new chakras:-

The foot chakra this chakra makes a physical connection with the planet and the elements of Earth, when this chakra becomes blocked. We can become very disassociated us find it difficult to get on with others. When opened and cleared allows us to keep our connection and keep ourselves able physically and mentally and spiritually,

Dear Children (and believe us, that’s all of you), We consider ourselves pretty patient folks. For instance, look at the Grand Canyon. It took millions of years to get it right. And about evolution? Boy, nothing is slower than designing that whole Darwinian thing to take place, cell by cell, and gene by gene.

We’ve been patient through your fashions, civilizations, wars and schemes, and the countless ways you take Us for granted until you get yourselves into big trouble again and again.

We want to let you know about some of the things that are starting to tick Us off.

First of all, your religious rivalries are driving Us up a wall. Enough already! Let’s get one thing straight: These are YOUR religions, not Ours.

We’re the whole enchilada; We’re beyond them all. Every one of your religions claims there is only one of Us (which by the way, is absolutely true). But in the very next breath, each religion claims it’s Our favorite one.

And each claims it’s scriptures were written personally by Us, and that all the other scriptures are man-made. Oy Vey. How do We even begin to put a stop to such complicated nonsense?

Okay, listen up now. We’re your Father AND Mother, and We don’t play favorites among Our children.

Also, We hate to break it to you, but We don’t write. Our longhand is awful and We’ve always been more of “doers” anyway. So ALL of your books, including those Bibles, were written by men and women. They were inspired, remarkable people, but they also made mistakes here and there. We made sure of that so that you would never trust a written word more than your own living heart.

You see, one human being to Us, even a bum on the street, is worth more than all the Holy Books in the world. That’s just the kind of folks we are.

Our spirit is not a historical thing. It’s alive right here, right now, as fresh as your next breath.

Holy books and religious rites are sacred and powerful, but not more so than the least of you. They were only meant to steer you in the right direction, not to keep you arguing with each other, and certainly not to keep you from trusting your own personal connection with Us.

Which brings Us to Our next point about your nonsense. You act like We need you and your religions to stick up for Us or “win souls” for Our sake.

Please, don’t do Us any favors. We can stand quite well on our own, thank you. We don’t need you to defend Us, and We don’t need constant credit. We just want you to be good to each other.

And another thing, We don’t get all worked up over money or politics, so stop dragging Our names into your dramas. For example, We swear to Us ::::smile::::, that We never threatened Oral Roberts. We never rode in any of Rajneesh’s Rolls Royces. We never told Pat Robertson to run for president, and We’ve never, EVER had a conversation with Jim Baker, Jerry Falwell, or Jimmy Swaggart! Of course, come Judgment Day, We certainly intend to….

The thing is, We want you to stop thinking of religion as some sort of loyalty pledge to Us.

The true purpose of your religions is so that YOU can become more aware of Us, not the other way around. Believe Us, We know you already. We know what’s in each of your hearts, and We love you with no strings attached.

Lighten up and enjoy Us. That’s what religion is best for. What you seem to forget is how mysterious We are.

You look at the petty differences in your Scriptures and say, “Well, if THIS is the truth, then THAT can’t be!” But instead of trying to figure out Our Paradoxes and Unfathomable Nature, which by the way, you NEVER will, why not open your hearts to the simple common threads in all religions.

You know what We’re talking about. Love and respect everyone. Be kind, even when life is scary or confusing. Take courage and be of good cheer, for We are always with you. Learn how to be quiet, so you can hear Our still, small voice. (We don’t like to shout).

Leave the world a better place by living your life with dignity and gracefulness, for you are Our Own Children. Hold back nothing from life, for the parts of you that can die surely will, and the parts that can’t, won’t. So don’t worry, be happy. (We stole that last line from Bobby McFerrin.)

Simple stuff. Why do you keep making it so complicated? It’s like you’re always looking for an excuse to be upset. And We’re very tired of being your main excuse. Do you think We care whether you call Us…. Yahweh, Jehovah, Allah, Diana, Wakantonka, Brahma, Cerridwen, Father, Mother, God, Goddess or even the Void of Nirvana? Do you think We care which of Our special children you feel closest to, Jesus, Mary, Buddha, Krishna, Gerald, Mohammed or any of the others? You can call Us and Our Special Ones any name you choose, if only you would go about Our business of loving one another as We love you. How can you keep neglecting something so simple?

We’re not telling you to abandon your religions. Enjoy your religions, honor them, learn from them, just as you should enjoy, honor, and learn from your parents.

But do you walk around telling everyone that your parents are better than theirs? Your religion, like your parents, may always have the most special place in your hearts, We don’t mind that at all. And We don’t want you to combine all the Great Traditions in One Big Mess. Each religion is unique for a reason. Each has a unique style so that people can find the best path for themselves.

Know that Our Special Children, the ones that your religions revolve around, all live in the same place, (Our heart), and they get along perfectly, We assure you.

The clergy must stop creating a myth of sibling rivalry where there is none. Our blessed children of Earth, the world has grown too small for your pervasive religious bigotry and confusion. The whole planet is connected by air travel, satellite dishes, telephones, fax machines, rock concerts, diseases, and mutual needs and concerns.

Get with the program! If you really want to help, then commit yourselves to figuring out how to feed your hungry, clothe your naked, protect your abused, and shelter your poor. And just as importantly, make your own everyday life a shining example of kindness and good humor. We’ve given you all the resources you need, if only you abandon your fear of each other and begin living, loving and laughing together.

We’re not really ticked off. We just wanted to grab your attention because We hate to see you suffer. But We have given you free will to choose your own paths, and We just want you to be happy.

Each plant, animal, rock, or other entity has a spirit (consciousness resonance matrix). These spirits can join together in a hive-mind as a spirit of an area. Nature spirits include real biological intelligences, are psychically powerful, and much less abstract and controllable than the Elementals that many magical people who perform all of their rituals indoors are familiar with. They can be extremely powerful allies. It is possible to sense nature spirits, to determine if they are receptive to a ritual planned, and to have them actively participate in magical workings, if they are.

Some Effects of Working with Nature Spirits

Spectacular physical manifestations can happen when working with nature spirits in the wild. I have personally seen actual foxfire mark the boundaries of a magic circle at a location that was identified as a receptive power spot and attuned to a planned ritual the day before. I have seen more than one site attuned for ritual be dry and comfortable, with a round hole in the clouds overhead, on days that were cold and rainy at other locations. Birds have joined in rituals, flying around the circle when energy is being raised; and insects, birds and animals have also joined in chants. In addition, the wind may respond to invocations. Generally these spectacular manifestations happen unexpectedly.

With or without such manifestations, nature spirits often will channel tremendous amounts of power into the magic being performed. It is suggested that you do not consciously try for specific manifestations. Let Nature channel her power into the magic in her own way. If approached with respect, nature may give you many pleasant surprises.

Spectacular physical manifestations are not a necessary sign of success. If you need a spectacular manifestation and nature spirits know this, you will get it. The best success in magic is on the inner plane and more subtle than such manifestations. This success involves beneficial transformations in consciousness that last and helpful chains of synchronicity in your life. In addition, working with Nature Spirits can also bring a deep sense of partnership with Nature, and bring new levels of attunement.

Nature spirit attunement to find suitable power spots and to get the help of friendly nature spirits that are performed several hours to several days before the main ritual get the best results. This gives Nature time to gather her children and to prepare to actively participate in the main ritual.

What Not To Do

If nature spirits are approached with disrespect, by attempting to command rather than listening to them and inviting them to work with you, nature spirits may flee, rebel, or attack. I once attended a ritual by some pseudo-Crowlyites who attempted to perform the “Ritual of the Barbarous Names” at a power spot in a forest and then to extend the circle several hundred yards in all directions.

While the forest in general had loud insect and frog noises, the area at which the ritual took place got quiet immediately when the main ritualist declared that all spirits were subject unto him. The vibes from nature could best be characterized as “Oh yea, Mother…!” One participant was quickly possessed by an angry spirit and kept repeating “You killed my children, your children will never live in peace.” When the priestess stepped out of the boundaries of the original circle, she was attacked by bees; and bees covered the Book of the Law. Magicians should know better than to attempt to command spirits whose true names they do not know!

Calling Nature Spirits

To make the most out of working magical ritual in the wild, one should find power spots where nature spirits are receptive to the ritual planned and approach the spirits with respect, as equals. In my experience, the most effective power spots for working with the living intelligences of nature are located in wild areas with diverse active ecologies.

When entering a wild area to find a site for a ritual, find a place that feels good. Then do the following, either individually or, if in a group, as a guided meditation.

o Relax while standing upright and focus on your breathing.  Breathe deep breaths from the diaphragm.  Breathe together if  in a group.  - Feel the wind and let it relax you and awaken your spirit    within, as your deep breathing takes you into non-ordinary    reality.  - Picture in your mind's eye a light inside you.  As you    breathe, feel the light expand, purify and energize you  - as    it expands to fill your aura.  - Feel yourself glowing, balanced, purified and full of power.  - Connect with your inner self (your higher self) and feel your    intuitive self operating.o Feel yourself as:  - The wind, full of life and intelligence, communicating with    all round.  - The Sunlight, warm, alive, channeling the power to    communicate with nature and energizing all around.  - Water, emotional, intuitive, refreshing and connected with    nature.  - The Earth, and note how your physical body is able to wander    while remaining part of Mother Earth.o Focus on your spiritual self, and  - Note the light within and feel it as love,  - Expand the light and love beyond the immediate aura of your    body to the surrounding area - where you will go to find a    power spot.o Telepathically (by thinking while channeling the love and light  energy) send out signals to nature spirits to emerge and be  aware of your presence.  - Say why you have come and invite them to join in sharing,    mutual celebration, and  the work you intend.  - Visualize the light and love energy you are channeling    extending out and merging with the light from distant places.  - Feel the power of the Earth flowing up through your body and    feet.  - Feel the power from the sky, and channel this power also to    further energize the carrier signal of light and love for    communicating with nature.  - Visualize the light expanding and merging.  - Continue to send out telepathic signals.o Now go deeper.  - Close your eyes, sit on the Earth, and feel your connection    while you channel more light and love.  - Continue modulating the light and love with your thoughts -    inviting receptive spirits to join with you and make    themselves known.  - If in a group, someone should start playing a drum at a rate    of about one beat per second, and you should listen to the    drum and let the drum take you deeper.  - Affirm that you are a nature magician, a medicine person, who    knows and communicates with nature.  Let this part of    yourself emerge to full consciousness.  Let the drum and the    connection to your inner self awaken that part of yourself    that naturally communicates with other life forms.  Let it    awak n your telepathic sense.  - Continue sending telepathic signals to nature.  - When you feel ready and an inner urge to begin, open your    eyes a crack and look around while continuing to channel love    and light and telepathically calling for a response.  - You may see light coming from certain areas that are    receptive.  You may get other signals, such as a feeling of    power or love returning in a certain direction.  Perhaps the    type of response to this work will be unexpected; follow your    intuition in interpreting it.  - You may test your connection by communicating (mentally)    instructions for signals for yes/no responses (such as light    getting brighter for less and darker for no) and then    mentally ask questions and observe the responses.o When you have found an areas that seems to be responsive and  receptive, begin walking to the area, while beaming love  energy.  Extend your aura to the area and sense the energy.

Entering a Power Spot

o Before entering a power spot, ask permission to enter.  If the  response is good, enter; if not, locate another more receptive  area.  o When entering the power spot, look around.  Perhaps the  responsive energy will be concentrated around some singularity  (a bush, a tree, a specific branch, a moss covered rock, or  other entity that stands out).  Perhaps the energy will be more  general.  Use your intuition and feedback from the spirits to  guide your actions.o If it feels right, send out a signal that you would like to  touch the singularity (or the ground) for better communication.  If the response is good, approach beaming love energy, touch or  hug the singularity (or the ground).  o Treat the spirits as you would other Pagans you meet for the  first time - be sensitive, open, and listen.

Deepening Communication with Nature Spirits

o Now that you have made contact with spirits that seem  receptive, deepen the communication.  - Breathe deep breaths from the diaphragm, and with each    breath, feel more refreshed.  - Now imagine that your spine is the trunk of a tree; and, from    its base, roots extend deep into the Earth.  Deep into the    rich moist Earth.  - With every breath, feel the roots extending deeper,  - Feel the energy deep within the Earth and within the waters    of the Earth.  Feel your roots absorbing nourishment from the    Earth and from its waters.  - Now feel the energy rising.  Feel the moist, warm energy    rising.  - Feel it bursting up from the Earth and rising up your spine,    like sap rises in a tree.  - Now imagine that you have branches, branches that sweep up    and then bend down towards the Earth, like the limbs of a    willow.  - Feel the branches extending and interweaving with your    surroundings.  - Feel the warm, moist energy of the Earth flowing through your    branches.  As it flows, feel your mind being purified,    centered, and connected to the Earth.  - Feel the power from the Earth flowing through your branches    and then down back to the Earth, like a fountain.  - Note how your branches absorb energy from the air.  Also,    feel them receiving light (fire) from the sky.  - Feel the energy from above penetrating deep through your body    into the Earth.  - Feel the warmth of the Earth rising also.  - Feel the energy circulating.o Notice how your branches intertwine with the branches and  energy fields of your surroundings.  - Notice how your roots also intertwine.  - Feel the energy dancing between you and your surroundings.  - Notice how you and the life around you are rooted in the    same Earth, breathing the same air, receiving the same fire,    drinking the same water,  sharing the same underlying    essence.  You are one with the magical grove.o Telepathically mention the time in the past when nature spirits  and people communicated regularly and the need to establish  such communication now. o Test your connection by asking questions and observing the  responses.

Working with Nature Spirits

o Explain to the spirits the purpose of your coming to them and  the nature of the ritual you plan.  o If the spirits you contacted are receptive:  - Explain to them the details of the ritual and invite them to    provide ideas.  - Listen, you may receive suggestions on how to improve the    ritual.  Such suggestions may come in the form of hunches,    visions, or answers to yes/no questions using pre arranged    signals, or in other ways.  - Ask what the best place to perform the ritual is.  - You may see light or get other psychic signals leading you    to other sites, or you may be at one of them.  - Before you leave the power spot, tell the spirit you have    contacted when you plan to return to do the ritual    (visualizing the associated lunar and solar aspects can help    with this communication).  - Invite them to join in the ritual when you return and to    bring their friends.  - Ask if it would be best to return silently, with drums, with    chanting, or with some other form of approach.  - You can also ask the spirits to provide guidance for working    in balance and to provide a teacher to provide further    guidance.o Before you leave the power spot,  - Thank the spirits,  - Channel love energy,  - Trigger your memory of the experience, and  - If it feels right, leave an offering of tobacco, or beer and    honey poured on the ground (or other suitable material).o  Leave in peace and love.o Proceed to other sites that were indicated by the spirits,  doing similar meditations at each site.  o If you need something, like a staff, a Maypole, or a wand, you  can also ask where you can find it and follow the guidance you  receive (not slavishly, but as you would guidance from another  Pagan).o Before leaving the general area in which you found power spots  and contacted nature spirits,  - Channel love energy towards the receptive sites you found,  - Thank the spirits of the land,  - Pull back your roots and branches,  - Ground any excess energy into the Earth (placing ones hands    on the Earth, breathing in any excess energy  and channeling    the energy down your arms, while visualizing and feeling the    energy going into the Earth), and  - Leave in peace and love.  o Naturally, you should leave the area at least as clean, and  preferably cleaner, than you found it. o If you work with techniques of Wicca or Ceremonial Magic, you  may find that by casting a circle, calling the Elements, the  Goddess, the Gods, and the local nature spirits while you are  at receptive sites, you may be able to greatly increase  communication.o Through the use of drums and other power raising techniques, it  is even possible to energize receptive nature spirits.  The  results can be very interesting.  If with a coven, such circles  can be done as part of a group attunement to a power spot you  have located.o If you do not get good feelings in response to your explanation  of the ritual and are unable to come up with a ritual that  gives good responses, do not try to force a good response.  You  would only be fooling yourself.  - Thank the spirits for their attention.  - Ask them why they are not receptive (if they are    communicative).  - Trigger your memory.  - Pull back your "roots and branches," return any excess    energy you feel into the Earth. -  If it feels appropriate, leave an offering of tobacco or    other appropriate material, out of respect for the spirits.  - Move to a more receptive site.  o If it is hard to find a site that is really receptive, you  should also:  - Consider any impressions you got of why the nature spirits    weren't receptive in the area you were in, and re-think your    plans for a ritual, as necessary and appropriate.  - It may also be appropriate to look for another general area    in which to find a suitable power site that is receptive to    the work planned.

What to Do When Returning

It can be very powerful to purify and center yourself and to attune to the spirits of the land using the technique previously described for calling nature spirits immediately upon returning to the site.

Then approach the site ritually using the previously arranged technique. You should have the details worked out with the Spirits of the land. A procession through or past receptive power spots, inviting nature spirits to join and proceeding to the central power spot for the main ritual, can be especially effective.

Be sure to invoke the nature spirits, to ask them for their help during the ritual, and to thank them at the end.

When consecrating space in the wild, or casting a circle, do not set up the perimeter as a barrier to all outside forces; it should be a beacon to attract friendly nature spirits, a container for holding magical power, and a barrier to spirits who it isn’t right to be with.

One thing that is fun and worthwhile in nature is to bring instruments, such as a rattle, a flute and/or a drum, to tune in to nature’s sounds, and to make music in time to nature’s sounds. You may be able to get some very interesting back and fourth exchanges of music going with selected creatures of the wild, and get into an amazing jam session.

The creation of an elemental

elementals 198x300 The creation of an elementalLet’s start, what is an elemental. Unlike elemental beings, which exist and control the elements elementals are created by the will of witch or magician to do that will elementals will have some level of intellect, which will enable them to complete the desired task.

Elementals can be used for negative as well as positive purposes, and that usually created from two or more elements and is created with a purpose or a goal to complete before ceasing to exist. Unlike elemental creatures, which exist within their own elements that elemental has to be created and have a finite lifespan.

Elementals, can be created in any shape or used to empower an object, such as talismans and  amulets which then can be used for protection, to increase their desired outcome.

Although extremely easy to create. When working with elemental Magicks. It is advisable to follow the four basic rules-

The elemental has to be given a form corresponding to the desire one wishes to be fulfilled. The form is to be created by intense imagination of visualisation.

The form of the elemental of vessel or housing needs to be named. It does not have a name that cannot exist.

Elemental, must be given a goal desired outcome to achieve the desired outcome needs to be achievable and finite.

All elementals must be given a death date or a timescale in which the task is to be completed as elementals can continue to grow and become unruly or uncontrollable disallowed to go unchecked.

  • Elementals can be used to influence the mind and thoughts of others.
  • Strengthen our break-up relationships.
  • Then someone will do your own.
  • To control other elements or elementals
  • To do your bidding across the astral plane.

It is important when creating elementals to use the corresponding elements to your desired outcome.

When you first start creating elementals. It is important to start small and build up as this will help learn to control, command and form the elemental. Before the elements are combined and formed it should be visualised in the following format-

Element of fire, should be visualised as a ball of fire, element of air, should be visualised as a blush coloured mist, element of water, should be visualised as a glass ball. And finally, the elements of Earth, should be seen as grey coloured dust. I would recommend that you start with simple elementals, such as ones that will act like if fetch sending and receiving messages, between yourself and close friend this will help you gain confidence in your abilities and help you create more powerful elementals.

Working in groups of two have one person in the sender and one as receiver. The person sending will create an elemental and send it to their partner. To gain some information. The receiver should write a word or image on a piece of paper, which the elemental will gain information from a return that information to the sender both partners should take turns in creating an elemental and gaining information. The more you practice, the better you will get at this.

Instructing your elemental.

Insuring you create your elemental correctly choose the corresponding element or an elements of to your purpose (for passing information back and forth, air and Earth work well) is surely you name your elemental choosing an appropriate name will help impress upon the elemental. Its purpose, example, naming your elemental messenger Post person will define its role and help enforce your authority over its. You will need to ensure that your elemental will follow your orders to completion. You will need to command your elemental in the present tense.
