Ouija Boards and Talking Tables
The communicating with the spirits using written or spelled out words using a planchette has been around in one form or another since 1100 BC with the first recorded example of planchette writing, which was called Fuji and was found in China although other examples have also been found in Ancient India, Greece, Rome and medieval Europe.
During the 1800 the planchette was sold widely as a novelty and on May 28th 1890 businessmen Elijah Bond and Charles Kennard patented a planchette with a board with printed letters giving rise to the first Ouija Broad / Talking table. An employee of Kennard, William Fuld took over the talking table production and in 1901, he medicine without prescription started production of his own boards under the name “Ouija” The Fuld name would become synonymous with the Ouija board, as he reinvented its history, claiming that he himself had invented it.
Nowadays the Ouija board is sold by Parker Brothers as a toy or game.
Although the Ouiji board in it current version as a new invention there is lots of urban myths surrounding the board with user claiming to have been possesed while christians even today will accuse uses of communication with the devil or his minions.
Although sold as a game many user believe it to be a doorway to the inner self or to other realms. While some will give warnings against it use others see it as a bit of harmless fun.
If you do deside to use one and expect to contact your higher selves or Spirits you should do do so in respect and insure that you have enough time to complete the session with out interuption your need around ½ hour to an hour to complete.
How to Use a Ouija Board.
You will need to prepare your working area candles and incense will help create the mood.
1. You will need at least one other person Ouija boards seem to work better if there is at least two people (alternating male female groups also seem to have a better effect).
2. Choose a time where you feel that the energies are correct to make contact (night time seem to be the best time)
3. Enhance your atmosphere light the candles and incense and insure that TV’s are off try not to use music as this can be distracting it better to work in silence.
4. It helps if the board is balanced on the laps of the people using the Ouija board (This works well for small groups of 2 or 3) if group is large place a large table cloth or Bed sheet over a table so when people sit around the fabric makes contact with their thighs this will help to make a connection with the board. (NB: use natural fabrics).
5. You will also need to decide how is going to be the person to the question and what questions are going to be asked.
6. When everyone is read to start (I would personal would do a incantation or pray for guidance and protection now) Place your fingers (index finger for large groups) on the planchette very lightly.
7. Move the planchette around the board in a clockwise fashion as you move over the letter say them out loud, this can be repeated 2 or 3 times.
8. Return the planchette back to the centre and the person asking the question should say “All positive and helpful spirits come forth you are made welcome all negative forms and force return from whence you came you not wanted or welcomed here” or something similar.
9. Start with your first question, which should require a simple yes or no – Be patient it may take some time for the energies to build up.
10. Once you have got your yes or no response you can move on to other questions be polite once you have response thank the spirit before asking the next question.
11. Once you are ready to end the session bid the spirits goodbye and remove your fingers and then clear up and ground your self.
