The communicating with the spirits using written or spelled out words using a planchette has been around in one form or another since 1100 BC with the first recorded example of planchette writing, which was called Fuji and was found in China although other examples have also been found in Ancient India, Greece, Rome and medieval Europe. During the 1800 the planchette was sold widely as a novelty and on May 28th 1890 businessmen Elijah Bond and Charles Kennard patented a planchette with a board with printed letters giving rise to the first Ouija Broad / Talking table. An employee of Kennard, William Fuld took over the talking table production and in 1901, he started production of his own boards under the name “Ouija The Fuld name would become synonymous with the Ouija board, as he reinvented its history, claiming that he himself had invented it. Nowadays the Ouija board is sold by Parker Brothers as a toy or game. Although the Ouiji board in it current version as a new invention there is lots of urban myths surrounding the board with user claiming to have been possesed while christians even today will accuse uses of communication with the devil or his minions. Although sold as a game many user believe it to be a doorway to the inner self or to other realms. While some will give warnings against it use others see it as a bit of harmless fun.
