Ways of connecting with the Tarot

deck of tarot cards 150x150 Ways of connecting with the TarotAs you learn tarot by whatever means book, from a teacher or off the Internet you will find that you can either work with Tarot or not if you can then stop find another tool for divination that you are better suited to such as runes or crystal balls never force it. If you can work with tarot you are going to want to connect with them one a spiritual as well as personal level. Never read for yourself you will only ever see what you want to see and never use them as a magic eight ball to help you decide what to do. But do use them to help you become a better person and connect fully with the cards there are some excellent techniques to this in the Hallow quest the book that goes with Arthurian Tarot

It is important when connecting with tarot that you show respect and treat your cards well, Insure that when you pick your tarot pack that you choose a pack with imagery and symbology that you can connect to personally. If you’re a bit of a traditionalist then the Waite-Smith or Rider Waite Tarot, If you enjoy and have a big interest in the Arthurian legends then Arthurian Tarot By John & Caitlin Matthews or if you’re a gay man then the Gay Tarot, it does not matter what pack and there are hundreds to choose from just as long as it feels right to you.

Always keep your cards safe and protected, show them respect keep them in a tarot bag or tarot box or both. Keep them away from things that can charge them or drain them of their energy.

One of the easiest times to connect with tarot cards is when you first get a pack this first technique is used on a new tarot deck but can be also used to re energise a tarot deck.

When you first open the pack don’t shuffle or look at the cards place your dominant hand below the cards (normally your right hand) and your passive hand on top of the pack find your own internal energy (see playing with understanding and playing with energies) and place it in the centre of your chest around the position of you heart chakra. Allow it to grow and move down your right arm and push it through the cards and back up your left arm until it completes a circle of energy. Keep the energy moving in circular motion seeing your own energies clearing the cards of all negativities and filling the cards with your own energy.

As the cards become infused with your energy your own energy will be able to pass through the tarot deck with much more ease. You will know when the cards are completely clean of all negatives and are attuned to yourself, as the energy flowing through your arms and chest will stabilise into a continuous loop that has a steady pulse. Once you’re at this stage say an incantation or state that you want the cards to guide and show you all you need to know.

Then put the cards to one side and wash hand under running cold water to wash way any remaining negativity the follow instructs on pack or from book.

This next technique for connecting with the cards is an adaptation from the Hallow quest. Centre yourself then pick a tarot card from the tarot deck spend sometime looking at the design of the card the details do this until you can close your eyes and visualise the card as a real place with real people and real animal visualise your self walking around inside the cards talk to the people in the card find out what they are doing their, look behind trees and building look pass the image of the card find out what lie beyond or what is hidden when your ready to leave see the visualisation returning to a flat image then open your eyes and write you feelings and any information you gained. You will need to be very creative with this visualisation and allow yourself to just imagine.

The third way to connect with the tarot cards is a fun way by using the cards to tell a story and is not a new technique pick some cards at random from the pack I would say no more than 10 place the tarot cards in a pile next to you and start to write a story start with a lead person a knight a princess etc and turn a card over and incorporate that card into the story here is an example “Rodger the knight was walking when (turn card = the Hermit) he met a hermit that lived in the woods…” Just fill the stories with as much detail and feeling as you can imagine, and let yourself be inspired by the cards. Although many of your stories will not make it to the best seller list you should when you read them back you should be able to see a relation with your own life giving an insight to yourself.

Way to insure your cards remain connected do’s and don’ts

Do’s

  • Keep you cards in a safe place
  • Use a Tarot Box or Bag
  • Respect them as a tool of your work
  • Find a pack that suits you

Don’ts

  • Let anyone else use your cards
  • Use them as game cards
  • Don’t leave them lying around
  • Read for yourself.
  • Don’t let the cards make your choices for you.
  • Don’t read for anyone under influence of drink or drugs

Third Eye Development, Crystal Healing & Psychic Ability

3dec2syns4 150x150 Third Eye Development, Crystal Healing & Psychic Ability2 excellent books by Lynn Claridge

Crystal Healing

This excellent well written 140 page book teaches you everything you need to know on how to practice crystal healing.

Lynn will teach the historocal backround of crystals and how to be in touch with the ‘Mineral Kingdom’ just by using nature. She also shows how to start using your third eye to a higher dimension. Visualization techniques and exercises are demonstrated, directing the energies in your inner system to activate the third eye.

Your intuition is also accessed through the third eye development. As your intuition grows, your knowledge, understanding and memory of the astral plane will become clearer while in a fully wakened state. Through practice, your third eye will be activated more and more thus allowing flashes of intuition come with more regularity. She explains that we can focus our minds on the middle point between the pineal gland and the piturity body creating a magnetic field which allows us to have greater imagination to visualize something also helping the energy of the mind to give life and direction to this form. Do you want to know how to use a crystal pendulum…..?

We can all see images or shapes after closing our eyes, but not many of us can understand the point to these images. This book will show you how to realise and where they came from including your higher self, your spirit guides or other spirit friends.

Many traditions and mystical practices have the ability of third eye seeing with the awareness of higher level energy fields.

By utilizing the third eye we can access other layers or dimensions of the soul. The soul is referred to as what most people would define as time, the past, the present and the future which hold memories from all these time frames. The third eye is the opening into another dimension where we can travel. Lots of people have already partially experienced this through visions and/or dreams. Being able to tune the third eye allows us more freedom and clarity.

Moods, food, drink and drugs all affect the very cheap drugs without prescription sensitive third eye. An over stimulated person generally indicates that their third eye is open almost all the time and they could find that tv or radio could cause them irritation resulting in sensorial overload. This could stress the body and distort the communication of the soul.

Using the techniques in this book to use your third eye, your senses will be enhanced feeling that you are floating on a sea of energy. Note: The activity does not generate the sense of the third eye but the third eye that generates the sense of focus and attention allowing balance and co-ordination for your performance. The third eye is responsible for the freedom of choice, individuality and creativity.

Lynn’s easy to understand style of writing allows us to follow the more complex topics such as:

  • the art of healing using crystals and their ‘make up’,
  • the energies within gems and how to feed your energies into the crystals,
  • general healing and healing with crystals including treatment using crystals
  • chakras, auras, colours and gems
  • how to cleanse and use gems and using gems around your home
  • types of crystals and how to choose and purchase crystals.

Crystal Healing is jam packed with information and is easy to understand although very comprehensive. You will learn all there is to know to become a Crystal Healing Practitioner. This book will give you the knowledge to change your own life with the powers of crystals, help your friends, even starting your own therapy business.

Try this exercise.

Sit comfortably in a quiet room and empty your mind. Take some slow deep breaths before starting to focus on the screen in your mind.

You should be able to see colors. Relax still breathing slowly and deeply. Keep watching the colors and they will now change into a shape. Keep focusing, you might even recognize that shape.

If you saw nothing then try again later when you can be more relaxed and focused.

Unleash your Psychic Ability

In this book, Lynn Claridge will teach you how to understand your emotions, your energy centers and your thoughts. You will transform your life on an emotional level. You will realize how detaching yourself from your emotions will lead you to understand your inner-self, your insecurity, vulnerability and control stress through inner guidance.

Lynn will help you discover how through meditation and relaxation you will gain inner peace and harmony. Enhancing your daily life, controlling stress and dealing with problems. With this insight you will change your life for the better.

She will teach you how to trust your intuition and insight and how to use your third eye, your psychic vision. You will trust your judgment by making accurate decisions in the making things work process.

You will learn how to balance the energy flow around your body through balancing your Chakras. You will understand and see the colors of energy around the body as by reading other people’s auras you can establish their physical and emotional well-being.

Discover how you can relieve pain and stress by balancing the bodies energies, to help others. Healing with, and through crystals and healing through color.

By understanding sleep and dream interpretation will allow you to see into your subconscious. This is an important aspect as much can be learnt and told to you whilst you are asleep. I will teach you how you can control your dreams and how you will reach the spiritual world through the astral plan and astral travel.

Discover how by using psychic tools such as the Tarot Cards and Clairvoyant vision will empower you to predict future events.

You will learn how to contact your chosen spirit. Understanding messages from the spirit world. Plus speaking and listening to your spiritual guide and how to communicate with loved ones.

This 210 page book is a must for anyone interested in unleashing their psychic ability.

Tarot MacMorgan Spread pt2 Meanings

SexSpells SexSpell 175x300 Tarot MacMorgan Spread pt2 MeaningsMeaning of Major Arcana Cards:

  1. The Fool: An androgynous figure is so besotted with the universe he does not notice he is about to step off of a cliff. At his feet, a dog tries to get his attention. The Fool represents blissful ignorance and “stumbling” into drastic change. It is impulse, the id. When it appears as a strength or ideal, it represents the ability to hand over the Self to Faith, Will or another greater power, sort of like those cartoon characters. The fool, having never studied Law is unaffected by the Law of gravity. As a hazard or difficulty, the fool represents an over-dependence on faith and the tendency to focus too intensely on one thing, forgetting about the importance of Life.
  2.  The Magician:

His implements of mastery are laid before prescription drugs without prescription him. As a strength or ideal, the Mage is a card of control of the Self, an ability to end physical pain in oneself or others, diplomacy and the ability to compromise between work and faith or differing faiths. The Mage is unlimited in the tools he uses. As a hazard or difficulty the Mage represents a force difficult to overcome without becoming a reflection of what he is. He represents an alignment of numerous forces against you.
  3. The High Priestess:
A woman sits on a throne, her robes the water of the universe. It is truly a card of forces aligning against you.

As a hazard or difficulty, Justice represents a pending lawsuit, abuse of the law or the inevitable result of breaking it.
  13. The Hanged Man:
Suspended from a tree by his right ankle, a man glows with sacred energy. This is the card of self-sacrifice, self-inflicted trial and the study of any demanding art. As a hazard or difficulty this represents an upcoming test or struggle and/or a difference of opinion from the public.
  14. Death:

He has slain the king, and now a priest, strength and a child beg for mercy. In the distance, the sun rises (or sets) behind stone gates. This is the card of change, of rebirth but also of struggle. It is card of the hidden ruling force overtaking the figurehead, of Church over state, Paganism over Christianity and science over faith. This card reminds us that death is the end result of all endeavours. As a strength or ideal this is drastic change, an altering from a political to a spiritual lifestyle or just death. As a hazard or difficulty this may actually signify death or sickness, but also inertia and stagnation if change is prevented.
  15. Temperance:
An angel pours water from the river of life from cup to cup, never spilling a drop. This is the card of moderation, of management and mediation. Of solution despite itself. As a strength or ideal this is a call for consideration and moderation, a plea for temperance and the knowledge that it is possible. As a hazard or difficulty, this reflects the inability to feel passion, a lack of Will and blind faith or total lack of faith.
  16. The Devil:
The couple from The Lovers is chained to the throne of a demonic figure based on the Judeo-Christian devil. It bears between its horns the reversed pentacle, the symbol of Male divinity. The lovers are horned now, and while chained, they could easily slip the chains, if they wished to. This card is the reverse of the Lovers, what some see the Lovers as. It represents ignorance, assumption, Witch-hunting and the persecution of people based on religion. As a strength or ideal, The Devil represents effort against incredible odds, belief in the Self despite the popular vote. As a hazard or difficulty it is persecution, pain, infliction of religion that doesn’t belong to you, and negative public image.
  17. The Tower:
The Forces of The Gods destroy the Works of man in a fiery display of Power. This is the one truly miserable card in the deck, there is no other with so little good to say. This is the card of Karma, the kind that bops you upside the head when you’re not looking and ruins your life. As a strength or ideal: Ideal?? Strength??? This is the Tower!! Ruin, Misery. There is no ideal here beyond a chance to survive. As a hazard or difficulty: Look Out! Rough road ahead. The Tower is calamity, imprisonment and death. Can you say “What man has made the faces will destroy”
  18. The (fallen) Star:
Unclothed in her sparkling garments, the Star pours water on the ground and into the river of life. This is the card of running yourself ragged, of loss and pain but also a chance to return to one’s stardom. she is not clothed in the Heavens, but the Earth hasn’t claimed her yet, As a strength or ideal: The Star represents a chance to regain an old “stardom,” to return to an activity you were good at but have given up. As a hazard or difficulty: The Star represents a fall from grace, usurperment. It may mean someone is better than you.
  19. The Moon:
A female face in a moon rains light down upon creatures of the night. This is a card of Change and “Two-Faced ness.” This is not the Shiny-Happy Moon, this is Hecate and Diana as warrior and bitter crone. As a strength or ideal: This Card represents a lot of power, but bears the warning that some things, such as love, are more important than power. As a hazard or difficulty: This card represents Enemies hidden from view, Accident, Fate and Mental anguish and disorder.
  20. The Sun:
A child on a white horse before a wall topped with sunflowers clutches a red banner. Above it all, the sun looks noncommittal. This is a card of warmth (get it?,) the Sun displayed is the sun that lures you into napping on a warm day, that makes you feel that everything is all right in the Universe. The sunflower represents the solar wheel. As a strength or ideal: This card represents contentment and health, growth and good fortune. As a hazard or difficulty: We are reminded that sun tanning causes skin cancer, that flying to high makes our wings melt. In these positions, we are warned merely to not “overdo it” All things in Moderation.
  21. Judgement:
It’s the end of the world and corpses are climbing out of caskets in the River of Life to greet a trumpeter. This card represents change, an end to (Christian) Tyranny, rebirth. As a strength or ideal: This card represents an end to worldly reincarnation and a new “Oneness” with The Powers. It is a card of finality, an end to “death” stagnation, etc. As a hazard or difficulty: This card represents judgements that don’t go one’s way, a parting with the ways of good and the inevitable outcome of this.
  22. The World:
A female figure surrounded by a circle. In other decks, this is the earth surrounded by the snake that is birthing/eating itself. This is a card of worldliness, of adventure and, of course infinity. As a strength or ideal: This card represents an ability to reach deeper within oneself to grasp events outside one’s self. An inner worldliness, so to speak. As a Hazard or Difficulty: This card does, however, represent a way of seeing things in large terms, not being able to see the trees for the forest for example. A person who is too in touch with the macrocosm may have a hard time with the microcosm.

Wicca – What is It, Really?

Pentagram2 150x1503 Wicca What is It, Really?Wicca is often mistaken for Witchcraft. The truth of the matter is, Wicca is a religious faith all of its own. What might surprise people even more is that Wicca is a very loving religious practice, one that demands its followers to adhere to strict ethics and high morals. Summed up, these ethics convey the Wiccan Law of “Harm None”, which enforces those of Wiccan faith to be consistently mindful of their daily actions and resulting effects, and their interactions with mankind, animals, and the environment in which we live.

Wicca incorporates a combination of religious beliefs and practices in its studies. These include; Eastern Philosophy, Mystical Quabalah, and old European traditions. From Eastern Philosophy, Wicca derives its belief system of Cause and Effect, Karma and Reincarnation. The Quabalah lends its principles of Spiritual Evolution through ‘path-working’, as well as Esoteric Knowledges. And, from European tradition Wicca receives its passions and understandings of nature and many of its Deities.

What Do Wiccans Worship? The foundation of Wicca is based on the teachings and belief that there are many forms of ‘Divine Spirit’ which reside with us here on Earth, as well as in ‘Heavenly’ Realms, all of which are benevolent, and accessible by mankind to assist us with our needs – both physical and spiritually. Many of these Divine Beings are found in Nature – in the elements, the sky, and the Earth ‘Herself’.

How Do Wiccans Worship? Wiccans base their primary observances on what is referred to as ‘The Wheel of the Year‘. This ‘Wheel’ contains eight times in each year where the changes of the seasons are celebrated by Ritual to pay tribute for the gifts and opportunities inherent in each season. Examples include the asking for protection and needs to be meet during winter months, the ‘calling forth’ of spring (seed and planting time), and giving thanks for crop abundances in the autumn.

What Are “Wiccan Tools” and Why Are They Used? During festivals, Wiccans use ritual tools to assist them with their performances. These include athames, wands, chalices, bowls, candles, and pentacles. Most all of these items correlate with an element of nature, and each has a specific purpose to aid in rituals – which are often performed to portray the roles which Divine Spirits play in interacting and impacting our daily lives. Wiccans also use divination tools, such as crystal balls, pendulums, and Tarot cards for seeking spiritual advice and gaining insight into the future.

Wicca and Magick: Much of the misconceptions about Wicca stem from its practice of performing ‘magick’. This magick is often (wrongfully) attached to some type of devil-worship by those who do not take the time to research the facts. In truth, most Wiccans do not even believe in a devil. And, if they did, the Code of Ethics and Principles of Wicca would enforce its followers to stand clear of “him”. Again, Wicca promotes well-being unto all.

The Origins of Magick: The art of performing magick dates back to prehistoric man, whereas tokens of appreciation were offered during semi-rituals by the tribes in hope of being granted particular blessings from the Gods of Old. The most common documented proof of the Gods that were believed in during this era were those of Fertility Goddesses and Gods of the Hunt, both of which were honored frequently in exchange for food and safety.

Magick Today: Today, much of the makings of magick in Wicca is based on the same platform: Celebrations, dances, and feasts are performed to pay honor to particular Divine Spirits in exchange for blessings which are bestowed. Crafts are made and tokens are offered in the same fashion. These magicks range from elaborate gatherings of wiccan multitudes, to the less casual practices of solitary wiccans, whereas an individual (or group of a few) will perform smaller rituals to gain more personal-type blessings.

Other Tools of Craft: It is believed by wiccans that most all natural materials, from stones to plants, withhold specific ‘energies’ which may be utilized in magick as additional aids for attaining specific results. The Most popular of natural materials is perhaps the usage of herbs. Herbs are incorporated into magick by way of making crafts by them for offerings and tokens of appreciation and honor. Herbs are a also incorporated into magickal workings for their large variety of pleasing fragrances, and for this reason are commonly used in incenses — which are burned during all religious ceremonies in effort to attract and compliment the Divine Spirits.

Summary: Wicca, during the past many years, has done much in the way of promoting religious tolerance in the publics eye. It is not within the religious practice of Wicca to solicit new members or reform those of other religious creeds. But rather, to teach, by example, the many blessings bestowed upon those who abide by the Law of Love.

Each of the Great Religions of the World is based upon the teachings of making personal improvements and rising above our environments, helping those in need, and becoming more spiritually evolved. It seems impossible, therefore, that with so many similarities among various religions – that any particlar creed could be right or wrong.

With all of the struggles that separate mankind in today’s world, I maintain that Religion should not be one of them. But in fact, should be a common ground that unites us all – despite a cultures ‘name’ for its God (or Goddesses) and the origins or mythic tales attached. I believe that “God” — in any aspect, is most likely BI-LINGUAL (speaking many languages) and is present to all cultures.

I further suggest that any Almighty Being has better things to do than play monopoly among religious creeds. Education is the key to understanding, and there are many well-written informative and ‘accurate’ books on Wicca available.

 Wicca What is It, Really?

Tools of the craft

Pagan 150x150 Tools of the craftMany neo pagan paths will use tools as part of their ritual work. Pagan ritual tools can be bought or made, although the majority of pagan tools will require a high degree of skill to construct.

Although no witch or pagan needs tools to perform magicks, cast spells or for ritual work it is nice to have them. But what should you buy and for what reason, below is a list of pagan and craft tools, I have separated the tools in to primary, secondary and tertiary craft tools

Primary tools of the craft

These tools are use in a majority of neo pagan paths and are common tools of the craft.

The Athame

The Athame (pronounced ah-thah-may) is a double-sided dagger with either a straight or flame shaped blade with a black handle. The blade is blunt so it does not accidentally cut someone, if Athame blade comes in contact with blood would render it useless and polluted. The Athame is never used to cut only to direct energy and is used in casting a circle.

The Athame is associated with the East and Air or South and Fire depending on which pagan path you follow. The Athame is also associated with the Male deity due to it phallic shape and is often used in conjunction with the Chalice and cauldron to symbolise the union of the god and goddess.

Besom Or Bossume

The traditional witches broom use to sweep away negativity and is used in Handfasting ceremonies witches are often depicted flying on a besom, The Besom is constructed from bundle of birch twigs, a staff of ash or oak, and a binding made from willow wands and is associated with the west and water.

Book of shadows

This is a book were possible leather bound and hand made but normally a large book containing rituals, spells, recipes, tables of correspondences and notes it possible to find that the contents may have been written in a magickal language such as runes or Theban. Their are coven Books of shadows and indervidual books of shadows

The Cauldron.

The cauldron has many uses within neo pagan paths and witchcraft; it is used for cooking, potions and food, scying, spell work. The cauldron is a three-footed pot with lid that comes in a range of sizes from tiny to mammoth size.

The cauldron is associated to the goddess and is seen a womb and a grave and places of hidden mysteries. The cauldron is associated with the west and water but can be used with any element with out conflict as the cauldron can be placed on earth or in fire filled with water when heat creates steam (air).

The censer

The censer is used to burn the incense that is often offered to the Deities, as well as being used to invoke the spirits of the Air, the Sylphs and Faery. The censer can be swinging brass burner or a few incense sticks held together and by wafting will become a censer.

The censer is a tool of the element Air.

Cup or Chalice

The Cup or Chalice is closely associated with the cauldron and is often called a bowl and is used to contain salt water, or wine for libation. The cup, chalice or bowl is normally made from brass, animal horn, crystal, glass or ceramic; some paths may have one Chalice for libation and other Cups (bowls) on an altar.

The Chalice represents the goddess and the west and water and is often used in conjunction with the Athame to symbolise the union of the goddess and goddess.

Cord Or Cingulum

The cord is used in some initiation rituals to bind the applicant; the cord is also used to mark out the circumference of a circle.

The Pentagram

The symbol of the pentagram is often worn a jewellery, engrave and printed on fabrics or ornaments and tools of the craft. The pentagram is also used as an altar plate where spells are constructed or offerings are places. The pentagram is associated with the goddess and the direction north and earth but can be associated with any element depending on the way it has be cast.

Wand

Often used as a replacement or alternative to the Athame wands can be made from wood or metal and it is possible to have more than one wand as wand can be created for specific purposes.

The wand is associated with the god and depending on tradition is either associated with the south and fire or east and air.

Secondary tools of the craft

The secondary tools are important but are not used in all pagan paths they are often associated or akin to primary tools.

Bells

The bell is often use to symbolise a beginning or completion or used as a source of vibration to help add energy to your working associated with east and air.

Candles

Although no ritual seems to be complete with out candle light candles are used in ritual as symbols or representations of the elements, the deities a person or for spell work. Candles are associated with the south and fire but the corresponding colours can be used to invoke other associations.

The Staff

Basically a staff, is a big wand and has the same associations and uses but it can also be used as a symbol of leadership.

The Sword

The Sword is a big Athame with the same association and is used in the same way and can be used as a symbol of leader ship.

Tertiary tools of the craft

The tools of the craft are not required for every ritual but no doubt every pagan and witch will have most if not all of these items.

Burin Or Bolline

A minor tool, a white hilted knife, is used for cutting herbs and any other use save magickal ritual in which the Athame is implemented. Many paths differ on the need for the Burin. Gardnerian Wicca absolutely forbids the use of the Athame for any purpose other than rituals. Seax-Wica on the other hand finds no need for it. It is a tool either abandoned or accepted by the various paths.

Crystals

Crystals use as altar decorations offerings used in spell work and healings.

Divination tools

Divination tools, such as runes, tarot cards, crystal balls used in spell work and affirmation

Herbs

Herbs used in incense as offerings in spell working and healing.

Poppets

Poppets or effigies these are either cloth or made from wax and are used in healing and spell work.

Sigils of the craft

symbols and charms and talismans used in jewellery, spell work healing and ritual works the most common Sigel is the pentagram.

Divination Spreads For Tarot and Runes

These are some more of the common spreads used in tarot and rune reading. There is no reason why you cannot make up your layout. Always remember that when using tarot cards or runes for readings it is important to focus on the questions you need answers too.

The first lay out is a simple three card layout which is used to gain answers from the past, present and out come to a particular cause of action.

3 card spread Divination Spreads For Tarot and Runes

1. The Past
Relates to your past want information the past holds to your current situation.

2. The Present
This card pick up on your current feelings and any fears you maybe facing and the solution to solving your current issues.

3. The Future

The Celtic Cross is a ten card lay out and the most common Tarot card layout With this popularity there comes the problem of many variances of placement but this version is the most common.

1. Influence or Atmoshpehere

2. Obstacles
the immediate challenge facing the questioner. You will often pull a difficult card here, which will indicate an obstacle that must be overcome. When you pull a “good” card here, examine it carefully because it will still represent a challenge.

3. The Eventual Goal
The best that can be achieved. This is directly related to the question. Note that this may not necessarily gel against Card 10 – it depends whether you are able to get the best. However, a negative card here probably means that it is worth cutting your losses rather than putting any more effort into the situation.

4. Infleuncing Events of the Past
Distant past, foundation. This card should indicate the root of the subject matter of the question

5. The Immediate Past
This will indicate events taking place, not necessarily directly connected to the question. For example, if a love affair going wrong Card 3 would show the root of why it is going wrong, whereas Card 4 will show something that recently happened to reflect this. You could see this as a “check comment” card – a way of seeing that the reading is sound.

6. The Immediate Future
This indicates events in the next few days or week(s). This reading does not cover months.

7. Attitude or position on the Matter
Factors or inner feelings affecting the situation. Compare this against Card 1 in order to understand underlying forces/trends. If there is conflict between them this tends to indicate that the questioner is going in the wrong direction.

8. The Enviroment Influencing the Matter
External influences. People, energies or events which will affect the outcome of the question and are beyond the questioners control.

9. Hope and Fears
Hopes or fears around the situation. This may produce a card that confuses us badly. Always bear in mind that hopes and fears are closely intertwined, therefore that which we hope for may also be that which we fear, and so may fail to happen. Sometimes it is useful to draw a second card for clarification after the reading has been laid, and to read the two together.

10. Final Outcome
Final outcome. This is a fairly self-explanatory card. However it is worth saying that if the card comes up somewhat ambiguous, once again it may be worth drawing three extra cards to clarify. These should be interpreted through the lens of Card 10. So if the card drawn is the Tower and we draw the Ace of Cups, Princess of Cups and Four of Cups in a reading about a relationship, the Tower would indicate that it is time to move on. The Ace of Cup suggests that a new relationship is promised with better things ahead. The Princess of Cups brings new love (and possibly pregnancy). The Four of Cups shows deep levels of contentment and happiness, and many options for progress

The Two Fates Tarot spread is designed for those time when you have to choices  and Looks at the root of the problem or situation, immediate past, the present, immediate future, the first and second choices, and the impact of the first and second choices on your life. It explains the situation and tells you what to expect with each.
