The Elements–Water
We have four base elements earth air fire and water in magicks it is desired to bring the elements into balance but each element has it own individual magicks attached so it always advisable to become familiar with elemental magicks.
Elemental magicks are untameable and do not require any skills or knowledge to perform, but knowledge is required to prevent accidents.
With Water we seem to have a dual connection our bodies are nearly 70% water and we need to replenish this water regularly as we constantly expel excess fluids from our bodies in many different forms. Unlike the other elements water can become polluted and toxic and we are the ones that pollute it with or daily lives the food we eat one of the reasons we need to detoxify on occasion. But not only can water be affected by internal forces, it can also be affected by external source the moon is the simplest on to see as we know the moon affects the tides of the rivers and oceans as well as our own ebbs and flows.
The focus of water energy is life sustaining and restoring it is the vital ebb and flow of the universe their is very little chance of accidentally releasing water magicks or water energies. The major problems with water is its close links to our emotions and the way it can carry a mood wash away anything in its path leaving behind the residue of that mood.
For those attempting to live a magickal life, keeping water in check can be a difficult task as other water and the other elements affect water. It can be very easy to get lost in another’s ebbs and flows leaving us to forget our own needs. It is a stupid idea that we should try to keep our waters still that will only lead to stagnation we must accept all the aspects of waters and our emotions the great waves of guilt and regret and the tiny ripples of joy and fun. Water comes in so many forms so it good to spend time near natural water sources.
It’s easy to come in contact with water when it is affected by other elements but can be extremely difficult to connect with pure water as in it purest form it is the source and blood of life. Although mediation or sea breathing (sitting watching the tide come and go matching your breath to the rise and full of the sea) can be useful ways of connecting to water nothing can beat a swim in the sea or a lake to make that physical connection.
One of the best was to understand Water is to meditate on Water but before starting the meditation some basic information on water. Water is not just H2O it is a flow with raises and falls it is the embryonic fluid that held you safe as it holds the universe now. It is the blood of the universe cleansing and detoxifying the pollutants we are creating. When combined with other elements water can create some strange out comes when mixed with air you get mist and rain which can obscure your vision with fire you get steam and heated water which can be unapproachable when mixed with earth you get erosion and mud causing sticky or difficult situation this is why when working with water it best to include the other element to contain water.
Water is the rhythm of life , it is the symphony of life the flow of creation. Our own song is part of that symphony we can change our sound by adding other element to our own water, fire brings steam which clouds our minds and hearts, air brings inspirations and delusions the passions that blind us and earth brings destruction and creation and only by keeping all elements in perfect balance can we create the sound of perfection. It not impossible to gain perfection! Just hard to maintain perfection.

Lie down in comfortable position
Meditation
Lie down and close your eyes and breath rhythmically and as you breath visualise your breath as the rise and fall of the oceans feel your body begin to rock back and forth begin to visualise the oceans forming around you the night sky above you full of stars, with every rise feel your body being energised and will every fall your body being cleansed.
As you lie their being charged and cleansed you begin to notice that the sky and ocean has become one and that you are now in an infinite universe and feel the rise and fall radiate in to areas of the universe, you start to feel very small in this infinite space but at the same time you know that with out you this would be incomplete you will start to see other people appear but as soon as the do they will they are transformed into raindrops and fall as more and more people appear the rain get heaver and heaver until you your self transform into a rain drop and fall with the rest. As you fall feel what it is like to be a raindrop until you drop back into the ocean and find your self lying back on the surface still connected to the ebbs and flow when ready to end draw your focus back to your self and your breath and open eyes.
Remember to ground your self afterwards.
