Where Magick come to life

The magic of colour

colour wood 150x1507 The magic of colourAmazingly colour has always fascinated me, not only in magical purposes, but also in design, psychology and science. So what is colour? Well in the most scientific answer I can give, colour is the by-product of the spectrum of light, and is reflected or absorbed and is received by the human eye and processed by the brain.

The colour spectrum itself consists of visible light, which can be seen by the human eye and light frequencies that are out of the range of human vision this spectrum, ranging from infrared through to ultraviolet and consisting of seven other base colours which are red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, violet, these seven colours are seeing rainbows, the colours of the seven chakras and contain the three primary colours, from which all colours are made.

There are also non-colours. These are the sense and presence of colour, whites being the presence of colour and is created when the three primary colours are equal balance and we have black. The absence of colour. This is no colour or light waves are reflected or absorbed.

Within Magic‘s and psychology and science. It is widely accepted that colour has an energy that can affect moods or environments, and we often attributed correspondences to these colours. When colours are used in magic. We attempt to harness the energies that correspond to our needs. We assign colour correspondences to candles symbols closed deities planets Zodiac signs. Days of the week

we know from scientific tests that colours give us energy in the form of heat and vibration and in all magical practices whether that’s be ritual spell crafting that aim is to build a particular energy, and then release it. By using colours that correspond to help build the desired energy will often act like a jumpstart your magicks .

There are limitless amounts of tones, shades and blends of colour which are created from the three primary colours to which I personally assign the aspects of the goddess. Red relates to life and death in childbirth (the Crone), green relates to health, rejuvenation and county (the mother), and blue relates to freedom innocence and enjoy (there maiden). The non-colours for me, represent the balance and the duality of Magicks, God goddess, positive negative, repelling drawing and life-and-death.

Although there are many books and webpages giving information on colours and their correspondences which give a standardised set of correspondences. It is advisable to find out how you personally correspond with the colour as your own personal energies may affect the colour energies. Colours like people from you get on with some you don’t example. The colour red is great in love spells, but if when you look at red use the danger or a warning of violence. It would be extremely stupid to use red candles in your love spells. You may be better off with green blue or yellow.

Colours have both negative and positive effects to your own personal energies, strengthening our eroding a particular correspondence. Example, I love wearing black. It makes me happy and bubbly that someone else who may be as happy person. All the time to put on some black clothes and their energies are zapped from them, making an emo like.

Trust your instincts. When working with colours do what you feel is right choosing the correspondences that you feel are right for yourself. You will always be right. Just because someone says it’s right doesn’t make it right magicks and energies are personal meditate on your chakras and their corresponding colours in your gain a greater understanding of how that colour effects. You

although in group work. It is important for harmony within Magic’s that everyone shares a common ideal. Using group capable of correspondences is advised. Being that the group’s energy will always be greater than the energy of the colour so that colour adds to the energy rather than becoming the focus of it.
