It is common for Tiara’s and headdress’s to be worn by women at special time in their life. Through out history and through out the world both men and women have adorned themselves with decoration to honour special times.

The tiara is often used in weddings and handfasting’s as part of the wedding gown to identify the importance of the bride in the ceremony a simple reminder that the bride is the queen for that day.
The tiara has a strong link for women as a sign of a princess and is often used in dress up for children and adults alike the idea that a tiara can transform one in to a princess still is with us today and is reflected in their use in weddings and fancy dress parties.
It is very common to see pagan priestess to where a tiara as a sign of their position and authority to act in the name of the goddess. These tiaras are often designed to include symbols and gemstones of their patron goddess.
The largest collection of tiaras and the most valuable is own by the Queen of England Elizabeth II her collection which has been passed down through the British Royal Family is said to be price less and it still common to see the queen wearing a tiara at state occasions.
